Nice, relaxing location in Bohol
it only has 14 rooms, so the staff know everyone, which is good for security purposes, the swimming pool is great and lots of choices for food
room 6 is a nice spacious room but they should fix the airconditioner which leaks and kept us awake, especially on our first night. we reported this and was told they knew about it and had someone fix it but cant- maybe they should replace it. the staff are friendly but the service in the restaurant is very slow and instructions are not passed on to the kitchen. the beach in front is not really a swimming beach. i was told the beach in amarella is the one to go for if you want a boracay style beach - but that was fully booked. overall, the stay was very relaxing and enjoyed the swimming pool and the food.
We recommend bringing/applying insect repellant (there are lots of sandflies and mosquitoes). We really enjoyed the snorkelling. The pearls in Boracay are much cheaper, most are 1/5 the prices in Bohol. Food is cheaper in Bohol.

Very nice and quiet resort!
Great food. Nice rooms. Beautiful location. Good service.
Linaw looks like a small paradise. A place you don't want to leave. I planned to stay here for a few nights, but eventually I stayed for two weeks. I enjoyed it very much and I would recommend it to anyone. If you need a rest and a break in your busy schedule, if you want great food and drinks, pleasant rooms, good service and friendly staff; book a room at Linaw!
Just lie on your beachchair, read a book, order a healthy fruitshake or lovely cocktail, take a refreshing dip in the pool, enjoy the sun and relax. At Linaw it's not difficult to enjoy life!!
Linaw's restaurant serves vegetables from their own garden; fresh, healthy and delicious.
I tried another mail each day, one was even better then the other. If you like to have an alcoholic drink with your food then you're at the right spot. Usually a good bottle of wine is hard to find in Asia, but here it's all available.
On Linaw's website is written; 'it just doesn't get any better than this'. I totally agree!! This is the real holiday feeling.
If you're tired of lying on the beach you can book several tours. I've done the 'wonders of Bohol' tour including the 'chocolate hills'. On the way you can enjoy the view on the rice terraces and the gorgeous scenery.
Ofcourse you can also go snorkelling or scuba diving.
And if you want some more action you can visit Alona, only a 5 minutes ride away. This is the place to be if you like dancing, beach bars, disco's, lots of restaurants and live music.

Helpful before we arrived, on-time pick-up at the pier, clean and spacious room we requested, friendly and caring staff, good value, good food
We stayed over the Christmas holiday and were excited to hear about the resort's Christmas Eve dinner. It was fab -- all the traditional holiday foods, and we ate right on the beach. The staff takes time to get to know you and your preferences. They deal with anything that might come up, and they do it in a learned way (eg keeping the couple of harmless stray dogs and beach vendors away from the pool).
Linaw is a good 40-minute drive from the ferry pier, down bumpy dirt roads. The jeepney driver we hired one day didn't know the place, and few of the people he stopped along the way knew either.
But we enjoyed being off the beaten track of Alona Beach.
You can't swim in the ocean at the resort -- sea urchins and seaweed will get in your way. But the pool is beautiful and you can wade in the ocean. Take a boat trip to Virgin Island or one of the others -- great for ocean swimming.
There was also a wedding at the resort when we were there. The staff still took great care of us, and some guests even joined in the wedding festivities. Pretty sweet place.
The tours arranged by the hotel aren't too much more than the touts on Alona Beach, but you can rely on the hotel's choice of guides. We took an island hopping/snorkeling tour and a driving/Chocolate Hills tour. The driver was more than happy to change up the attractions a little bit and skip over things we weren't interested in.
Definitely hit the Bohol Bee Farm -- amazing food, beautiful property, and more friendly people. Oh and you can get sweet-potato ice cream served in a cassava cone (eat your veggies!)

Best rooms in bohol
great rooms, good furniture and nice Christmas decors, simple yet beautiful landscape
the rooms are better than the ones i've stayed in bohol beach club and dumaluan beach resort ( in my previous visits to this place). it is much more spacious, newer and the design is interior design is much better. for a cheaper price you get a nice balcony, better hot and cold shower, his and her's sink. the only downside is the bad signal of the cable tv. it stops every 10 secs or so that you'd get frustrated from watching it. they said it was normal due to the room location.
the food in the restaurant is ok and service is reasonable.

Nice resort better than it looks on the website
Although it's a little bit far away from Alona beach, you can always take motorbike or tricicle to there and only cost from 20p to 100p per ride. Clean and all equipments is well maintained, can't believe it's open for almost 5 years. If you're looking for a place where you feel relax and away from people, here it is.
A diving center next to the resort.

clean, new hotel, but can't swim in beach
the hotel was new and away from the city, nothing around there
we only stayed 1 night and things were great. the hotel is new and modern and the staff was very friendly. the breakfast was great and well served. the pool was also nice and the hotel is very quiet. the beach was pretty, but the water was not good for swimming as there are fishing boats all around.

Very private resort
quiet area, beautiful pool, friendly staff
we loved our stay at linaw. four days was long enough because there is not much to do in the surrounding area. to see the
tarsier, you must travel 2 hours. food prepared by the resort was excellent so there is not a lot of need to leave the resort. just relax, have a margarita, and enjoy your stay.

pool!, restaurant, location, staff
We had a very nice stay at this resort and would return anytime! We liked everything from the airport welcome to the departure so we highly recommend it.
We stayed for 6 nights and had free private transport from the airport offered by the hotel but the regular price for the transport is also fair. The hotel is about half an hour ride from the airport.
The resort is quiet and sparkling clean, rooms are huge, lovely and very well equipped (description on their website is very accurate). They also provide pool towels that can be changed whenever you wish. We had room #1 which was the best room in the resort for us (because of the location, right at the pool!) but as far as I could see the rest of the rooms were just as nice. The “infinity”-pool was perfect size, cleaned regularly with a good water temperature (the pool is important as you cannot enter the sea because of the algae), the beach chairs are freely available, the bar has everything you might want and Rey makes very good cocktails!
The restaurant has a very varied menu and their cooks are good! For the 7 days with 2 people we never ordered the same thing twice and we didn’t find anything we didn’t like. We did not even get to the pizza/pasta section but we bet those were just as good.
Don't even get me started on the beautiful sunsets...
We also went in tours arranged by the hotel (Wonders of Bohol tour and Island hopping/Dolphin watching) and everything was smooth and nice at a decent price.
This is a perfect place in Bohol, away from the crowds and the noise but still close if you wish to visit Alona Beach.
Thank you Rey, Charlie and the rest of the blue-gang for the wonderful stay!
Hotel Feature Tip:
Room Tip: If it is available, choose Room #1!

Nice hotel with the great view!
A perfect escape 4 stars indeed, cleanines, food, stuff, rooms, quiteness
almost the only hotel at this part of bohol where you can really see and enjoy the sunset. it will happen right in front of you!
the hotel is 5 minutes far by taxi from famous alona beach, the beach in front of the hotel is not for swimming, but they have a nice swimming pool instead. so either wonderful sunset (can't be seen from alona), or the beach.
this hotel was great for us as we wanted a silent atmosphere and relaxation (clean, chill, can order a massage), food is great and prices are reasonable. the can arrange you a tour or a car to any part of bohol for the same price anybody would offer.
very good hotel! most probably will choose it again if i visit bohol
