Very private resort
quiet area, beautiful pool, friendly staff
we loved our stay at linaw. four days was long enough because there is not much to do in the surrounding area. to see the
tarsier, you must travel 2 hours. food prepared by the resort was excellent so there is not a lot of need to leave the resort. just relax, have a margarita, and enjoy your stay.

pool!, restaurant, location, staff
We had a very nice stay at this resort and would return anytime! We liked everything from the airport welcome to the departure so we highly recommend it.
We stayed for 6 nights and had free private transport from the airport offered by the hotel but the regular price for the transport is also fair. The hotel is about half an hour ride from the airport.
The resort is quiet and sparkling clean, rooms are huge, lovely and very well equipped (description on their website is very accurate). They also provide pool towels that can be changed whenever you wish. We had room #1 which was the best room in the resort for us (because of the location, right at the pool!) but as far as I could see the rest of the rooms were just as nice. The “infinity”-pool was perfect size, cleaned regularly with a good water temperature (the pool is important as you cannot enter the sea because of the algae), the beach chairs are freely available, the bar has everything you might want and Rey makes very good cocktails!
The restaurant has a very varied menu and their cooks are good! For the 7 days with 2 people we never ordered the same thing twice and we didn’t find anything we didn’t like. We did not even get to the pizza/pasta section but we bet those were just as good.
Don't even get me started on the beautiful sunsets...
We also went in tours arranged by the hotel (Wonders of Bohol tour and Island hopping/Dolphin watching) and everything was smooth and nice at a decent price.
This is a perfect place in Bohol, away from the crowds and the noise but still close if you wish to visit Alona Beach.
Thank you Rey, Charlie and the rest of the blue-gang for the wonderful stay!

Room Tip: If it is available, choose Room #1!

Nice hotel with the great view!
A perfect escape 4 stars indeed, cleanines, food, stuff, rooms, quiteness
almost the only hotel at this part of bohol where you can really see and enjoy the sunset. it will happen right in front of you!
the hotel is 5 minutes far by taxi from famous alona beach, the beach in front of the hotel is not for swimming, but they have a nice swimming pool instead. so either wonderful sunset (can't be seen from alona), or the beach.
this hotel was great for us as we wanted a silent atmosphere and relaxation (clean, chill, can order a massage), food is great and prices are reasonable. the can arrange you a tour or a car to any part of bohol for the same price anybody would offer.
very good hotel! most probably will choose it again if i visit bohol

A relative sanctuary to a busy Alona
View, Location, Room Quality
first impressions of the resort were impressive and sustained by the warm welcome and dusky views. we were also impressed to see a well equiped games room.
the rooms were modern and well presented, clearly above the norm for this part of the world.
the services and tours offered were varied and reasonably priced, including the transportation. this was important given the remoteness of the resort. we considered this an advantage, as the nearby alona nightlife was far enough to be avoided but close enough to be visited for 150pesos. however, the tranquiliy was disturbed by; the ongoing construction, ship restoration, and loud karaoke nearby. although this was generally during reasonable hours they were unwanted disturbances to the day time laziness we expected from a vacation.
the selection of food at the pearl restaurant was fairly priced but maybe too vast for some; certainly too large for all dishes to be equal. with the random successes we had with the menu, ordering did become the food equivalent of a game of russian roulette. based on our tastes, we would recommend the seafood options, pizza and pasta as these did excel over the other dishes.
improvements beyond the menu could also be made, to include controlling the noise and insect problem. whilst this did not affect our stay greatly, we did miss having the personal touch that other resorts of this size and nature have.
we would recommend this place for groups but not for single travellers or couples looking for a quiet romantic stay. instead, consider this as a relative sanctuary to a busy alona.
We advise asking that no salt be added to your food as we found many dishes overly salted.

the building is nice quality
quality of the room, delicious foods, quiet place
we stayed 2 night 3days at the hotel. the room is clean and comfortable. we had lunch and dinner in the restaurant. the food is delicious and the volume is enough. it's nice restaurant. but the food will be very slow served.

wonderful resort and great food
clean spacious room, nice pool, great staff, splendid restaurant
I had a wonderful stay at Linaw beach resort. It's situated in a surprising location (Panglao island 30 minutes complimentary shuttle ride). The deluxe sea view room which I booked was quite spacious (45 square metres), clean and all luxury amenities came in as standard (hairdryer, kettle, DVD-player). WiFi is available inside the room, only the signal can be poor at times. No big malls in the neighbourhood. But you can enter the village for some basic shopping. The resort restaurant is splendid.

peaceful hotel with very nice stuff
very nice stuff, beautiful pool with good water quality and devoted cooking
perfect accommodation and the stuff is very sweet and all helpful. Even though the sea is not that inviting, the pool makes up for this and has high quality water. The resort provides all kinds of nice facilities for sitting outside. The only thing we did not like was that we had to say "good bye" and fly back home :-)

Food, Rooms, Facilities, Service
my wife and i stayed here on our first anniversary and found the experience wonderful. the rooms were large, comfortable and pleasantly furnished. the hotel is located on a quiet corner of the beach, away from the main alona beach strip (but it can be quickly access by car or habal-habal), that is very private and beautiful with lovely sunsets and views of balicasag island and the virgin islands.
the restaurant is also a major benefit of this resort. the food is fresh and tasty--many ingredients come from their own garden--and the service was very good. the restaurant was easily the among the best of restaurants that we ate at during our time in bohol and also among the best prices in the alona beach area. even if you don't stay at the resort, it's worth a trip to the restaurant.
more than once, my wife and i commented that it reminded us of our honeymoon hotel in thailand, a conde nast gold listed ritz-carlton (that cost 10x more). we would both highly recommend this to anyone looking for a wonderful, relaxing and romantic beach-side getaway. it is definitely worth a little bit more than the lower cost resorts on alona beach...and probably worth more than the higher cost resorts there too.
Hotel Feature Tip:
A ground floor room has easy access to the resort facilities through the balcony.

nice service n food in resterant, nice sea view
every thing are good as i thought before. But, it would be perfect if this resort offered breakfast.
Remember to buy some snack before you go to resort because it is far far away from the town !!
