Shower of death.

It's really clean and close to Termini station which was very convenient arriving at night from the airport. The breakfast was very good.
It would have been a very nice stay if not for the shower of death, it was impossible to adjust the water temperature under the shower. It would jump erratically from scalding hot to freezing cold back again. I've never come across something like that before and have to say that it did spoil my stay.

Convienient to Rome Termini Station

Locality, staff,
My stay was very pleasant, a great location to most of the historical sights especially as I was only spending two days in Rome, situated right next door to the Opera Theater it was easy to find from the Roma Terminin Station, I had a single room at the back of the hotel, serviceable but small, other than that I recommend this hotel.

Clean hotel but bad service

good location, small room, bad service
I stayed 3 nights at the hotel. There was one staff who was very rude. In the last night of our staying, the heater didn't work. I called to the reception and the staff told me that he forgot to turn on a machine and I need to wait for some time for the machine to work. An hour later the room was still freezing, I called the receptionist and was asked to wait for another half an hour. And after half an hour, I called him again to complain that my room was still cold, he kept trying to explain that the machine needed some time to work until it became warmer. I asked him to go to my room to check the heater. He came in and could not do anything. He told me "it didn't work, what can I do?". This time I felt really annoyed and asked him to change another room for me but he left and shut the door in front of me when I was talking. In the next morning I complained about the room and the rude staff with his colleague and this made him upset. When we checked out, I needed to make a phone call to the taxi that we had booked. I asked the receptionist to let me make a phone call. He said I need to pay & I agreed. But he didn't give me the hotel phone to use, in stead he gave me his cell phone and he threw the phone onto the table in front of me. I couldn't say anything to this guy. He was the worst hotel staff I have ever met.

worth the money

free wifi, adequate breakfast
we spent 3 nights in rome and in lirico. the hotel is about 15-20 mins walk to the termini. though it was really hard to find as the hotel sign only says "hotel". get a better sign with your name on it! to get to the reception, you first need to get up 20+ stairs. there is no elevator to the reception. so be prepared to drag your luggage by yourself. the staff at the reception was fine. but they seems need to improve their english a bit with the exception of one guy. room was not big but okay. the only real problem we had was the smell. the room was filled with the sewer smell for one day, and the smell of bleach for others. my wife claimed that she got sick because of the smell. opening the window helped a lot and unfortunately we found out this too late. considering the money we paid, i would say it's worth it.
