An Experience

Rustic, On the Beach, Wood Cottage
The stay at the Little India Beach Cottage was pleasant. Though we expected more from the staff in terms of providing for our various demands, they did their best within their limited resources. It is an experience to live in a wooden cottage. The toilet and shower have been kept and maintained well. The rooms themselves are neat, slightly dim lit, but I guess it adds to the entire experience. Its right on the beach, so u walk down about 100-200m and you can touch the water. Spotted a couple of bugs here and there, but not much to complain. Dont go expecting Five star service, as they are still getting their process sorted, but they do give it their best shot to ensure that your stay goes as smoothly as possible. We had a small dispute with regards meals included. So better to call and confirm after your bookings are through to avoid any unnecessary surprises. Rest the entire stay at Calangute and partying at BAGA (St. Anthony's) have been a truly remarkable experience. For all those wanting a place to drop their things freshen up and hit the beach, Little India Beach Cottage is highly recommended. We couldnt experience their kitchen as they operate it only during the season which doesn't start till Oct 20th.

What they mentioned on site is not true
It was a tribble experience. They claim they have parking space which turn out to be a lie. The location of this hotel is not accessible easily. For a day AC did not worked and they change the room next day, blanket was not provided on day 1. There was no Manager available on site, reception of the hotel was also not functional. The basic facilities were not functuional and it was a dirty non managed rooms

Beautiful cottages, really close to the sea.

The rooms, the staff, the access to the beach.
Considering this was a beach hut experience for us, this place is fantastic!! We stayed in the Tropical Wooden Cottages. They are all beautiful, with chairs and tables on the veranda as well as a curtain of elephants and little tea light holders. The room itself is really nicely decorated with mismatched furniture, a very comfy bed, air con, a ceiling fan and ensuite bathroom. This is not a wet room but a proper shower cubicle. Although there's only a padlock on the outside of the Beach Cottage, we felt safe leaving our valuables here as this is in a closed area and the public don't tend to walk through. Breakfast was served at 'The Bongo Beach Shack', the staff here and at Little India work together to make everything good for your stay. It's a basic breakfast menu; the pancakes are particularly good! It's also nice that you can then get free loungers here and use the beach shack as a base. All the staff were really helpful and friendly, we stayed for only 3 nights so weren't bothered about having our room cleaned but they still offered it to us. They gave us advice on where to go and where not to go too. We would happily have stayed here a lot longer!

in this hot summer AC was not working.

Anand - service staff
Ac was not working and it made our stay hell. We were 3 families and have to live in 1 room where AC was working. The discount later offered was 200 rs. 9 people with 4 small kids in single room !!!! Anyone can imagine tge experience we have undergone.

Nice Stay

Cleanliness, location, friendly staff
We stayed 3 weeks from New Year's Eve in the cottage next to reception. Room was very quaint with a rustic feel and kept spotlessly clean. Very comfortable bed with thick mattress (mosquito net is a must) and good size wet room. Lovely flagged walkway( lit at night) at the rear, past three other detached beach cottages through to beach (2 mins) and Bongo Shack. Nice quieter part of beach. Owner and staff are very accommodating and friendly. Good food. Only downside is because of rustic build of the room there is no soundproofing (and plenty of gaps for mosquito's to creep in) so any and every noise is heard right through the night. The guests in the adjoining 2 rooms sound like they are in your room, which is ok in the day but not so good at 3am !! There is also a public thoroughfare to the beach, groups of people and mopeds are coming and going at all hours. This did get a little better on our last week, but the first two weeks we had no sleep. Maybe the bungalow's at the rear would be better as they are at least detached. Overall a very nice stay in a lovely room, but at if going again, would look for something quieter of a night.
