Great Value

Comfortable stay
The stay ways very comfortable in a good location. Quiet rooms, albeit through the entrance door of the room you always hear every noise. Good and comfortable bed. Staff a the reception...well...not the friendliest...but nevertheless OK. Good value for money.

Unfriendly Staff and Managment
Well the maintains fantastic room standards of cleanliness However most of the unfriendly staff not with guest sad to said they only smile among themselves. Also disappointing, none of the front lobby and office staff offer any help on luggage. The buffet breakfast most of the time see them stuck in cellphones or eyes on the TV tune to their favorite local TV channel. Still considering weather to staying there on my next trip despite all this set back. I must the housekeeping did a well deserved good job.

Neat Rooms and Neat Location
Sometimes you hear of hotels being "tired". Well the LK Royal still maintains fantastic room standards of tidiness, cleanliness and function despite it being one of the older hotels in town. However SOME of the staff are tired; the customer relations folks at the LK Royal ALL used to be warm, friendly, engaging and just generally enthusiastic; not so anymore. Sadly some of them wouldn't even know you were guests; their heads are stuck in cellphones rather than engaging with their "guests". Won't stop me staying there; but not the usual LK customer engagement. I found it interesting that the housekeeping staff were all very pleasant and engaging; so much so that perhaps they would be more fitting for the role of customer relations than some of those actually employed to do the job.

broken aircon
Very Nice rooms but had problem with aircondition that did not work. Unfortunately hotel was not able to fix it providing a fan as replacement :-).
