First impression good and very handy location for the hydro, my daughter and I were allocated double instead of twin booked so delay in getting to room. Room very noisy with loud air con outside window which the hotel was very aware of but we're not able to resolve in any way . Room 208 next to function suites so my daughter and I had terrible nights sleep as parties on until early hours. Breakfast was served in very dark gloomy restaurant which may have been ok for dinner but horrible gloomy atmosphere for the dtart of the day . This gloom was prevalent throughout the hotel especially the dark narrow corridors. Service generally mixed and no one asked if we enjoyed our stay - we did not!

Nice Hotel

Modern decor, friendly staff and hotel was peaceful
Stay was fine, improvements could be made but nothing major. Windows could do with some attention as could the heating system

Comfy stay but no Parking

Walking distance to shopping street
Located about a 30 minute walk from the main shopping street in Glasgow. We only stayed one night so I'm not sure what else there is to see to know if it is close or not sorry. Room was very clean and quiet however the hall way from the lift to our room was like a maze with about 5 fire doors to go through. They could do with more signage in this section of the hotel.

A lot of hotel for the price

Location of hotel is great for anyone visiting the centre of Glasgow. The Staff are really freindly and efficient. The Hotel its self is fitted out to a high standardand the rooms are comfortable
My Stay was great from the welcome at the reception where I was booked in quickly with no fuss or holdups. The room was great (It looks like the whole place has recently been refurbed to a high standard) with a nice firm bed and it was all spotless (Too often UK hotels have a great lobby but get let down with shabby rooms). The Staff through the Hotel where freindly and attentive. Great Hotel for the price more expensive hotels should take note.

Value for money

Excellent location with many restaurants nearby. Also easy access to town center. The lobby is cozy and I particularly like the glass roof top that allows sunlight coming in.

A very loud night indeed

Location, clean, staff helpful
Even with the window closed, this was a very loud place to try and sleep in. Buses, trucks, cars, garbage collectin, shouting passers-by, you name it. And the corridor traffic not much better. In 40 years, this was a first. To their credit, second night was in an 'end-room', altogether better. No parking comes with this hotel, so daytime you have to feed the meter on the street outside. By the way, there seemed to be few people in bar and restaurant. Service there was fine. Bottom line: beware rooms at the front of the hotel.
