Poor location, bring your own food.

Full kitchen.
1 Bring your own food; no cafes for miles. 2 Noisy, dirty part of town. 3 Third floor and no lifts. 4 Haifa is not a beach resort area.

A basic hotel which was adequate to our needs.

Cleanliness, customer service, price.
The staff have obviously tried very hard to create a good impression and are clearly dedicated to ensure one's stay is problem free. The premises is basic but clean & comfortable and is located in a busy area of the city. If you're looking for somewhere adequate to sleep & freshen up, grab a snack or watch a few minutes TV and check your emails before you go out it will probably do. However, if you're use to the Ritz this is not your hotel!

short city break

good location, nice receptionist, kitchen area
this is a nice room with a small kitchen area. The bathroom is a bit small and as the curtain is too short everything gets wet when using the shower. The apartment is at a good location.

Cheap, friendly staff, comfortable
It was a good stay, the rooms got cleaned every day. The only downs were that our bathroom had no window so it smelt damp all the time. Although the rooms were cleaned daily, there was still room for improvement. The staff were great and did their best when we asked for something.

Prime location, little more

Location, decent Wi-Fi, nice-smelling towels
Though I enjoyed Haifa, the hotel was the most disappointing aspect of my entire five weeks in Israel. The staff was tepid (not exactly frosty, but certainly not warm either), and the guy who checked me in spent a half hour searching for my reservation -- and that was the best part of my Loui M experience. The room itself, located one short flight of steps below street level, was thoroughly depressing. Though I had a garden view, the location of the room meant that I got very little natural sunlight -- and leaving the curtain open meant that anyone in the garden could see into the room. The furnishings were fairly shabby. The shower was separated from the rest of the bathroom by a too-short curtain (and because of the placement of the door, I had to step into it to get to the toilet on the other side), which meant that every time I took a shower the entire floor was underwater. To plug in the microwave, I had to place it halfway over the sink. And neither of the two remotes for the TV worked. I was so thrilled to wake up early on my day of departure because I couldn't wait to leave.

Good Clean Apartment style accommodation in heart

Excellent helpful and friendly staff
Due to Haifa’s busy and complicated town centre and one-way system the Louis M Motel was difficult to locate. It has quite a small frontage so easily missed. However, the staff came out of their and drove with us to direct us the final bit and were very helpful and friendly during whole stay. Rooms good size with kitchenette, sink, kettle, tea & coffee etc, table & chairs plus good shower and bathroom. Small car park located round the corner from the Motel. Overall very pleasant stay.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: 5 minute walk to Metro Station then 15-20 minute walk to Bab Shrine (highly recommended)

Good value in an interesting neighborhood

Location, price, friendly staff
The old world neighborhood and the small size of this hotel was appealing. Not handicap accessable if that is an issue. The room was clean and functional with a small kitchenette. The hotel furniture and art work was antique with kudos to the owners for investing in the ambience; the security system was very good. The street behind the hotel was a little seedy, but we parked our car there w/o any problems. Great little shops and food choices in the area. Our room was in the front of the hotel and the street was noisy. Garbage trucks made a racket at 5am
Restaurant Tip: Ask for a room in the back if comprable in size. Great bakery one block north and lots of coffee options for breakfast.
