In Progress

staff, bathroom, location
We went on new years eve hoping to have a decent room to rest after 90km drive and to wake up fresh to see the dolphins. We certainly did not expect the lodge to be that hard to find. We had to go back and forth until someone directed us to this inaccessable by big cars road. we rented a Toyota Agya. We were disappointed as the rooms were infested by bugs, probably because of long vacancy. But the hosts were really nice and put some effort to make the stay better. They said that the lodge was off for 5 months and just reopened. The plants were dead, swimming pool was not operational, and it seems like there were only 2 functioning rooms. But the place is promising once its taken care of. Hoping to see greener garden, working swimming pool, and bug-free rooms if we ever come back.

Lovina is great. This hotel is not

The room was fine and the garden are was pretty. Also they had two semi friendly bunnies running around
Our stay was a disappointment in all honesty. There's nothing wrong with the hotel and its basic amenities. The problems start with everything else. Keep in mind these are complaints regarding things the hotel offers - not my expectations WiFi - did not work once over the course of 4 days Pool - was not 'ready' for for 2/3 days Breakfast - one boiled egg and two pieces of toast. Worst I've had in Bali by a country mile (and the most expensive hotel I've stayed at in Bali, go figure) Their website offers dolphin tours for 7USD and they asked us for 150 000 rupiah. When I mentioned that all I got was a shrug There was no restaurant on site (advertised) There were no drinks or beer for sale (advertised) Security was also a concern. Our door barely shut. The staff was nice but were unable or unwilling to fix any of these shortcomings Do not stay here unless you have your own transport or intend to rent it (they didn't have a scooter for rent either, as it says on their site, but they did arrange for it). It's pretty far out and while you could technically tale bemo on the main road (less than a ten minute walk) to reach it, they stop running mid afternoon. And it's not really in the jungle. More just rural. And it's hardly quiet. Lots of noise from the road or the local temple at night. When we arrived about 100 guys were cheering a cock fight just down and across the street. Some of the reviews seem to indicate this place has seen better days and maybe it'll turn around but for now do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. Incidentally Lovina is lovely. Defibitely don't give it a miss.

Don't stay here
Lovinia Eco Lodge is awful. The tv didn't work, there was no wifi, the business centre didn't work. The pool image on the internet looked good but when we went there it was very basic.

Perfect place for stop-over

Room, staff, quiet
Very nice place for stop-over or even some days in Lovina. The hotel is a bit far away from main city (~10 minutes drive), but you can enjoy silence and relaxation in this area. Our bungalow was perfect, but next room without terrace was suddenly not good and facing main entrance, not very private. Offering dolphin tours for cheapest price in the city
