Great value, convenient location!

Location, kitchen, value comfort
I enjoyed my stay at LSE Northumberland House. The room servicing was consistent and thorough. The facilities were good and there was free WiFi available for guests which was very handy. There was 24 hour concierge which was also very useful. It was in a safe neighbourhood with a very central and convenient location. There were many shops and supermarkets nearby. The kitchen was well maintained and there was ample fridge and freezer space. Walls of each room were nice and thick so no disturbance was heard from adjoining rooms. Overall very good value for the frugal traveller looking for a comfortable, clean and convenient environment to stay in!

Great downtown location, basic accomodation

Location, Clean
My stay in LSE Northumberland House, which is located a minute away from Trafalger Square and Embankment was totally fine. Check-in was swift, and a room on the 6th floor was given to me. I was told that I could make use of a (shared) kitchen, which could come handy for someone (not for me though). The room itself was a single bedroom, size very good for a short stay, but the carpet and furniture (basically a desk for studying), are in used condition. Some stains here and there, but it is kept clean. The bathroom is really small, but it does the trick. The shower has a sufficient power and water flow, nice hot water available. The single window in the room can open, but just a little bit (and it is secured with an alarm).

Overall is good

Kitchen, Location & Staff helpful
the bed & pillow not really comfortable. The toilet was very small. There was a kitchen next beside the corridor. So we can cook it & staff really helpful.

Great location and great staff

Location, price and staff
The staff was very friendly and helped us find locations. Multiple Underground stations are very close. Walking distance to Big Ben, Westminster Abbey and Trafalgar square is 1 minute away. The only downside was the street city noise, nothing they can do about that.

Great choice top location

Location friendliness value for money
Excellent stay. Comfortable room with enough space, small bathroom but very clean, shower head not the best though. Use of kitchen on the room level with fridges, cooking facilities and coffee tea making facilities. Staff were all very friendly and very helpful. For the price I could not fault the place. Will be staying here again!

Central Location, Student Dorm

location, location, location
The location is superb, just next to Trafalgar Square and Embankment/Charing Cross station. It's actually a student dorm, and in the vacation time, it receives commercial guest. As I've been a student in England myself, it's nostalgic to stay in a dorm again. And that's quite an interesting experience.

LSE business stay September

Central location, quiet room, competetive price
Stayed for 3 nights in early September, Very good central location, could walk to everywhere I needed to. But train station (Charing Cross) and tube (Charing Cross + Embankment) both less than 5 minute walk away. Good price by London standards although note that no breakfast included. But plenty of eating options closeby and self-catering kitchens also available. Basic room standard but again fine for price - this is student accommodation after all, so no frills. Room could be stuffy but was able to open window (no air-con), but might be a bigger issue during hotter summer months. Check-in and check-out efficient and staff friendly. Can store bags for free if room not ready on arrival or not leaving London straight away on check-out. Would stay again for short trips (1-5 days)
