Lovely oasis in Legian
Alam Kul Kul is a quiet hotel across from the beach in Legian/Kuta. The room we had was spacious and well equipped, and the hotel facilities were very good (pools, restaurant, bar, reception, etc). We loved that it was not a large impersonal modern hotel. We enjoyed the proximity to the beach, and easy access to many of the local shops, restaurants, and so on. Breakfast was exceptional, complimentary cocktail night was great, and staff were extremely helpful. we really loved our stay here and highly recommend it

Great Spot
Nice Hotel. The gardens were beautifully kept, staff friendly and efficient and rooms clean. The location is great if you want to surf Kuta or relax and have a drink and massage whilst watching the sun set as beach just across the road. Its also just a 10min walk into busy Kuta for dining and shopping. It is a great spot for families with two swimming pool areas and spacious dining room. The buffet breakfast offered tasty choices including omelete of choice cooked on the spot. Great hotel and would return.

Potentially great resort but insect bites took the edge off
We stayed here on our last night of a 3 week holiday travelling in Flores, Komodo Archipelagp, Gili Air and Southern Lombok. Unfortunately this was the only accommodation in which we had a problem with bugs - our 14 year old son (sharing a room with his older brother) awoke with in excess of 30 large and angry looking bites on his arms and face. As he had sprayed with most repellant the previous evening and as his brother, with whom he shared the room in a separate bed, did not have a single bite we can only assume they were bed bug bites. My husband and I stayed in an Alam Villa and there were more midges/mosquitos than we'd seen anywhere else on the trip. For this reason we've given a low cleanliness score which is a shame as otherwise it was a great resort in terms of facilities, staff, food etc. Clearly the Alam Kul Kul needs to review its approach to bug management!

Our flights were delayed due to volcanic ash and the staff were absolutely brilliant, ensuring we were able to stay at the hotel until we were able to organise new flights home. Thanks so much!

Great hotel, awesome value
Nice boutique hotel directly across the beach in Legian. Nice and simple breakfast including made to order eggs, fresh fruit, pastries etc. Standard, clean hotel room. Two pools which were nice (average) A long taxi ride from most places as it sits on a one way street, meaning you have to drive through busy Kuta to reach the hotel. Walking distance to Kuta and Legian.

Another good stay
I really like this hotel, the rooms are lovely, location great, breakfast a treat and staff so helpful and friendly. Our third stay and would definitely stay again.

Good experience
Overall hotel was good. It is directly across from the Beach. Another highlight for us was our driver who picked us up from the airport. He was excellent. We ended up booking a number of trips through him (volcano hike, transfer to Ubud, see temples). He helped us organize everything hassle free. He was so great, I wanted to ensure others traveling to Bali can use him too. His name is Wayan (email: wayan.subakti@yahoo.com).
