Relaxing and quiet
It was really clean, quiet and it was overall above average

it was a very nice stay, I had a business workshop. The facilities were really nice. The rooms were clean and comfy. Also important that in a busy place like Dubai and they have free parking service. The only thing is I wished it included free wifi internet access as it was very expensive in my opinion.
The location of the hotel is extremely nice and you can spend most of your nights just in the walk.

I operate a business with wi-fi. Had to shut down for a day-wi-fi not included. Really made the trip a headache.

Noisy neighbours that staff did nothing about
the breakfast buffet was the only thing I liked

Apart from the breakfast, which was one of the best selections I've seen, i didn't enjoy my stay here. Upon arrival we were charged an extra sum of money for the reservation being incorrectly taken down and there in fact being 2 guest, the hotel is quite far from the nicer beaches, airport and bigger shopping centres. At 3am in the morning we were woken up by the room next to us blasting music and despite 3 calls to reception, the noise continued until we ended up almost breaking their door down. Check out also took about 15 minutes despite being a simple task.

Of the hotel, there is no direct striaght access to the beach, it is not noisy but
Still it would much better without the constuction

Ok hotel at the Walk
Location: right at the Walk with a lot of restaurants and seaview, room was ok

The hotel was ok for us this time but we would probably not go back, it is nothing "cosy"/"personal" or something special. The staff was friendly and the service was fine (they helped us booking restaurants, etc.). The hotel is situated at the southern end of the Walk, so a lot of restaurants/coffeeshops/gelateria at walking distance. Dubai mall was a 25-35 minutes drive. The hotel does not have any beach facilities. The pool was mainly in the shade most of the day (due to the building), so for a proper day in the sun you'll need to go to a beach club (or a public beach, without sunbeds and other facilities). We went to the adjacent Sheraton a few times ( AED entry each person during the week and AED during the weekend). After all it would probably have been cheaper to stay at the Sheraton than at the Amwaj. There's a construction work between the hotel and the beach which was operational at daytime (so ok) but the last two nights also during the night, with a lot of noise, as a consequence of which we couldn't sleep all night. This was really annoying and a hotel like this show have double glazed windows blogging such noise. Another annoyance were the elevators: they have only three for a 25 story-building. It took very long to catch an elevator and when you had one, it was full and stopped at every floor. And during the evening/night a lot of outside visitors visited the Rosso restaurant, so in that hours it took even longer. Wifi is not included and apparently expensive throughout Dubai. At the pool area you can catch a free wifi signal. Taxis are always available.
Nightlife Tip:
Breakfast was not included in our booking. We found a very nice restaurant (Paul) on a 5 minutes walking distance where we had wonderful breakfast every day (for less than half of the price of the Amwaj and for sure not worse).

Excellent Location & Great Service
Beautiful location, comfortable rooms and excellent food

Stayed for a night and had a great time. The rooms were fantastic and the location even better. Its facing the beach and has access to all the restaurants on the beach as well.
Shopping Tip:
Dubai Marina Mall is 5 minutes from the hotel. Take a taxi and head there anytime.
