I however, did not like the area and would not return there. Luckily the hotel was nice so I spent most of my time in my room. The staff are ok but don't go to any special effort and the taxi service is a rip-off.

We had a couple issues though Clean/close to the beach/nice swimming pool 7,3 Our stay was nice even though we had some issues. Our card for entering into the room did not work. As we arrived late (11pm), it was a bit annoying to wait. Most of the people were nice but the quality service from the reception was really poor. To ckeck out it took us 30mins and the person was doing not funny jokes. She was playing with his credit card (putting in her pocket, etc.) The breakfast was reasonnable. A bit expensive for the choice/quality. The shuttle bus transfer that they propose is crazy expensive. We preferred to take a local taxi. But still enjoyed our stay.

The staff were also extremely friendly and helpful (especially the lovely Taew) - and their standard of English was surprisingly high. Well done!! 9 No complaints at all. Although I was a solo traveller, it was a very family friendly place with numerous nationalities staying when I was there. Children were fussed over, and as far as I could tell, all the staff were constantly focussed on delivering great customer service. I only ate breakfasts there, but the quality of that food was consistently high every day

Very spacious room with a lovely outside deck and plunge pool. On arrival I neeeded an electrical adaptor and housekeeping arrived within two minutes with a whole basket of adaptors so I could choose the one I needed rather than just bringing one. The food was good, well presented and reasonably priced. Great swimming pool and overall good service by staff that were very friendly. Id definately go again. This place is a real oasis amongst the husssle and bustle of Kata beach. Restaurant Tip: Two small supermarkets close by with almost everything you would need.

Beautiful rooms and amazing pool Pool, rooms, friendly staff 8,7 I had a large bungalo style room with a vaulted ceiling and a very large bathroom. I also had a small, private pool. It was very comfortable. The only thing I did not like is that the hotel is not right on the beach (of course, I knew that when I booked it). Hotel Feature Tip: I recommend getting a room with direct pool access.

Great rooms and facilities 8 great buffet breakfast; immaculate grounds. had a great time relaxing by the pool. loved the room and bathroom. staff were helpful. wasn't too impressed with my lunch/dinner meals at the restaurant, but perhaps that was just meal choice- lots of great restaurants in town though. hotel is not right in town, but there's a shuttle- available any time- to the main road (only about 500m) and then it's an easy 5-10 min walk into town and kata beach. didn't mind this at all. overall a fantastic trip!

Beautiful pool, excellent food and service. 7,3 Booked a private pool villa at a nominal $300 a night and thoroughly enjoyed my stay...however for this kind of money and without view or position what you are asked to pay at Metadee, in Kata, is 'off the screen'... The room was very nice, So too the bathroom and pool...but certainly not at the level aspired to...and yes,(i know) the adcertised photos of the villa were not realised...although since, in other hotels, the opposite has been gloriously true.. Very nice but punching well below its weight...

Villa with pool access 9 metadee was a perfect spot for me. it was quiet and not too big, which meant less people around. i was upgraded to a pool access villa which was amazing!! loved the room. staff were super friendly, especially the breakfst staff and the drivers!! would recoomend this resort and would visit again!!
