Lovely place to stay with very friendly staff

Great place to stay if you want to relax and just enjoy the quiet. We had a standard room which was big and had a spacious balcony with sea view just by the pool. The beach is just a 2 min walk from the hotel and this is one of the most beautiful and secluded beaches we have seen so far on our trip around Thailand. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful when arranging scooter rental, laundry and our boat trip to our next destination. They even rang and arranged a transfer with our next hotel. The only cons are: no wifi in room, dont serve dinner and charge for coffee/tea in room.
Great place, great staff, we will be back!

Simple friendly hotel

Panalee was a nice getaway compared to the more touristy part of the island. Though there were no insect screens and hot water was hit or miss, it was a great stay with a wonderful staff that made our holiday quite memorable.

1. No security at all
2. We drop the key in the key box when we left the hotel. When we came back after midnite. They left our key room on the front office counter with closed counter!
3. No light at all in front of the hotel, we drove pass the hotel without notice where is the hotel locate.
4. No clean up room or changed the towel
5. The trees was left and spoiled, not same as in the pictures
6. Good location. Near port.

Beautiful location, clean rooms, horrible service

Even with such beautiful surroundings, the service can really make or break a stay. And it did for us. It was very difficult to get any of the staff's attention during any meals or for any assistance. Asking for anything extra (another towel, for example) would result in a sneer and a rejection. They tried to charge us for a glass that was broken when we checked in. Very lovely location, wonderful scenery, clean and tidy rooms, but the staff we encountered really had a bad attitude. Even though we are very polite and tip well!

Bit far from any bg towns, but perfect for a quiet stay. No wifi in rooms and not many English tv channels however.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Awesome pool, definitely hire a motorbike to get around.

2 bedrooms villa with only 1 bathroom
nice hotel room with swimming pool, quiet n nice

we booked 2 x 2 bedrooms villa and 2 x 1 bedroom villa.
it just out of our expectation cos we add 800 bath for an additional adult in the 2 bedrooms villa. imagine 5 person sharing one bathroom, no kitchen or even a basin to wash hand beside the bathroom.
one thing is the receptionist Nancy is friendly.

nice restaurant across the road. can see the sun rise and sun set at the beach near by in walking distance.
quiet place cos not at chaweng, the town. more peaceful here

there is no night life tough. so it is great for those who are searching for quiet!
