Very good price for what you get
great price, close to the Metro (subway), close to a lot of food and shopping

The hotel is right next to a skybridge, which takes you to Dapuqiao Station of the Shanghai subway. The subway is the best way to explore city on budget. It's also almost impossible to get a cab during rush hour and dinner time(4pm-7pm). There is a Watsons, Mcdonalds, and Pizza Hut at the bottom of the skybridge, but I recommend crossing the bridge into the basement of the mall which has the metro station and a wide variety of local and foreign flavours.
Xintiandi has a great pedestrian only street with bars and restaurants. Jingan has a few clubs that you can go to if you're interested. Hollywood is ladies night on Wednesday, and is packed with expats.
Familiarize yourself with the Shanghai metro lines to get to the places you want to go. Most likely, there will be a station where you want to go, and most likely, you will have a hard time finding a cab back to the hotel around dinner time, so try to have dinner before heading back.

Poor service that I never had before

The Single big sized bed room is not 30m2 as website mentioned. Poor customer service at ALL time includes check in, enquiry, front desk, security guard and check out. No hot water for shower at the first night I checked in at 2am because of late flight but still enjoyed a non-welcomed service during check in. Bad and dirty towels lucky me I brought my own. Freezing air conditioning I could only either turn on with freezing wind or turn it off, so frustrated. Only obe thing I may recommend to others that are price economy and if want a balcony in the room. That's it!

do not try their food actually, but the service on-call was nice, staff were friendly.
however, the phone at room was not really functioning well, sometimes we needed to go downstairs to borrow the phone from the reception in order to call the room services.
