Nostalgic romantic getaway
Very well kept despite being half a century old. Very friendly n attentive staffs. Home stay that comes with 4 stars service. Went extra mile to wash our car. Homely lounge with nostalgic exhibits.

Only problem was there is heavy construction going on at the lake.

its a wonderful place to stay few days and go back in colonialtime. very special setup with the fireplaces where you sip an drink after your candleslight dinner. also food is very good and the staff well trained and friendly. realy a special place. also the terrace and the flowers around are so nice

1. Staffs are very friendly and service is good.
2. location: if you are looking for hotel near town,this may not be the best choice. If you are looking for venue for relaxation, this is the place to be.
3. Room service: husband was pretty disappointed as there was no service after 930pm

Overall a good experience

It was a comfortable stay. We liked the ambience. Hotel staff were friendly. In fact we had to check in very early in the morning as our coach from Singapore arrived ahead of schedule. The hotel staff made all the necessary arrangements quickly while keeping us engaged with some welcome tea and organising a transport for our day tour in the meanwhile.
I am a vegetarian and surprisingly they had a separate vegetarian menu . Food was good but my biggest disappointment was mostly it wasn't served hot. In a pleasant cool weather like this, one would enjoy a hot cup of tea with some piping hot food. Well, I cant crib much as my choice is limited to vegetarian only.
This hotel is located away from the main market, shopping centers and farms. It takes at least 15 minutes to reach Tanah Rata and 20-25 minutes to reach Brinchang, where all the markets are located. Taxis are easily available though. Hotel can arrange for a taxi with a 10-minute advance notice.
