Misleading
Firstly the staff and service were impeccable and cannot be faulted. When I booked this accommodation I thought how beautiful it looked in the photos only to arrive to a run down, dishevelled, and very unappealing 3star at best motel. This place could be beautiful if care would be taken around the place, throw away old broken pot plants, a lick of paint, some new curtains that actually hang on the rail and get rid of that God awful brick wall from the 70s in the drive way! It's the first thing people see and makes for a disappointing and regretful impression. The restaurant is definitely not how it was described and I am thankful we decided not to eat dinner there, breakfast was bad enough. Served by a lovely young lady, with a white glove just didn't fit the appearance of the let down that was the rooms and other facilities. Had I not seen the photos on the Internet, maybe it wouldn't have been so disappointing. I feel completely deceived by what was clearly a for camera show only room! We booked 6 rooms in total so I am quite disappointed. But the service was fantastic!

Highly recommended
Restaurant, location
Our stay in this hotel is lovely. The food in the restaurant is excellent highly recommend it to eat there. Beautiful chateau. The location is not quite the center of the town it's about 10 min drive to tanunda. So if you like to walk to sightsee you will be walking a long distance. The hotel is clean the bed comfortable.

Birthday Trip
The breakfast was lovely and very fresh. It was nice to wake up and take a stroll around the grounds. Rooms had air conditioning.
We came to celebrate a birthday which I pre-advised. Although no acknowledgement was given by staff. I booked this from Scotland and was pleasantly surprised how nice this motel was. Except for the pool. Needs an upgrade and especially a new creepy crawler to clean. The kids pool/spa was especially disappointing. I found the location to be gorgeous but would say that the reception and dining staff could be more friendlier. The breakfast however was delicious, great range and very fresh.
