Rooms are nice but location bit out of the way
Good service and served nice food although menu choice is limited
The room was clean, had wifi, air con and good size tv. Overall this place was nice but there is not much around the guesthouse . It is a good location to visit S21 and the killing fields.

Not bad.
Super friendly staff. Good food.
stayed here because we liked the idea of staying a more "local" area. turns out they lock the gate at 10 and there is nothing going on in the area. to get to the bars or restaurants, you have to get a tuk tuk and pay aroudn 4 or 5 bucks each way. they have a bar on the roof that seems seldom used, couldn't figure out the exact hours either. we payed for two nights and decided to stay another night. when we paid the bill, the third night was, which they didn't tell us when we reserved it. we were in a hurry and i didnt have time to say anythign about it, and 4 bucks isnt the end of the world. but i wish they would have been upfront about it at the time. room was private but the only window into the hallway seemed a bit loose, not the most secure.

not bad, not good
Good location
the hotel was in a good place, but it lacked basic amenities like soap in the bathroom or a garbage can in the room.

Nice quite location, great rooms
Round corner from Russian market, modern rooms, friendly staff
Mad house is great value for money, the rooms are a very good standard, as is the shared bathroom. The owner Brian is a great help for anything you have a question, as are all of his staff.the food here is nice if not a little expensive, you can eat at the Russian market for a fraction of the cost, there's also plenty of bargains to be had

Very clean friendly staff a fantastic stop over
Great hotel for a capital lay over
Though located out of the central areas it makes a very convenient and pleasant stay if moving though Phnom Pen. Area is nice with good selection of resteraunts, the noodle boat is a must for traditional chow and recommended by the owner/ manager at the madhouse.

Name matches reality, in a good way...
Friendly and helpfull staff, great restaurant on top floor
room was very clean and well maintained. although a little bit on the small side, and it would help if there was any sunlight comming in. our room had a window, but the window was indoors, so it had little or no effect. during our stay the staff was very helpfull and friendly. the hotel doesn't offer breakfast, but has a great restaurant (the local) on the top floor.

Didn't suit me
Staff were very kind and food is quite good
When I was there it was virtually empty - didn't see any options to socialise with other guests. Room with shared bathroom was ok, but expensive for what you got. The bathroom had poor drainage, wasn't cleaned every day (bin not emptied etc), shower would cut out so was more of a cold water one. The room was small though a huge wardrobe - no hangers though defeating the point. No bin in the room. Stairs leading up to the rooms were awkward and quite dangerous. Much better value down the road.
