About Madison Hotel

Description

Reach all points of interest from this traveler’s hotel located just a football field away from Rome’s central train station. Madison Hotel is housed in a 19th century palace in a busy city area and presents itself as the ideal base for visiting the ancient sights and recharging one’s batteries between journeys. The hotel provides a relaxation room with English-styled walnut wood furniture and travertine floor, exposed beams, and walls painted with Venetian stuccowork overlooking the central train station, but is very quiet due to its soundproofed windows. Just outside, restaurants, shops, and banks abound and several artistically and culturally important sites can be reached in minutes by foot or subway, including the Porta Pia, Quirinale, Trevi Fountain, Villa Borghese, Piazza Venezia, and Colosseum. Its 123 rooms are elegantly furnished, and each includes a private marble bathroom with a shower and hairdryer, direct dial phone, individually controlled air conditioning, satellite TV, mini bar, safe, modem plug, and double-glazed soundproofed windows. Rooms featuring Jacuzzi bathtubs are also available. On-site facilities include a bar, a restaurant, and a conference room accommodating up to 45 people.

The single room I booked was decent, although the bed sheet was itchy (need to wipe with Detol napkin first haha) & the room window was facing neighbour's wall. I also had a good bargain on this hotel (50%off), as the location is just across the street from the Termini (central station). Note: One thing for sure, if the Receptionist is trying to move you to another hotel nearby (always said the room you've got is ugly and the sister's hotel is more beautiful and within 3min walk-away) Just say No and insist on staying put. As the room is actually a good deal. Apparently they are trying to resell it to the other walking customers, of which they can earn more. Thank God I have local friend who speaks the lingo, to deal with them otherwise I wld be one of the ... Last but not least, Safe trip to you all, be extra careful traveller-buddy, open your eyes and ears... God's luck.

Warning bed bugs, don't go there.
I really regret ignoring the bad reviews I read about this hotel. Ruined our trip to Rome. We had booked a double room but were given a twin room instead. We are very easygoing so didn't make a fuss about it. Decided to put 2 single beds together but mattresses were very different. One too soft one too firm. Both horrible horrible mattresses. Worst sleep of our lives until that nigh (worst was the following night). Also the room had an odd smell walls looked dirty and the bed base was ripped. Next morning we were given a different room which looked better than the first one. Went out all day sightseeing and returned to the room late at night to have some rest. Didn't manage to asleep though as we noticed the bed was full of BED BUGS. It was 3am and we changed room again for the third time in 2 day. Needless to say we couldnt fall asleep after that as were thinking all the time there were bed bugs in the last room as well. And the worst part, we have to disinfect our languages and everything we had with us out of fear we have brought any bugs with us. Also the hotel is very dark and feels very claustrophobic. Worth mentioning that staff were very helpful and polite. DO NOT GO THERE !!!!! I wouldn't even if I was paid to go there!!!

Super noisy perfect location
Served good breakfast. Very old room. Good location , just opposite roma termini. Bring earplugs and eye shade. Just to pass by is OK. If u want a good sleep... this place is not ideal.

Too tight/small for a double room
The location is excellent just infront of the Roma Termini. Very accessible. But the room is too small for a double or twin-bed. The other side of the bed is leaning on the wall so it's difficult for the other person to get up. There's only 1 chair in the room and the space is too small to accomodate 2 medium luggages. The room is not properly cleaned as well. The cleaner just replenishes the toiletries and fixes the beddings and towels but the flooring is not cleaned. Some staff cannot speak and understand english as well so it's so difficult to communucate. I won't come back and recommend this hotel.

Nice stay
It's a nice hotel located across the road from Roma Termini, which suited me extremely, as i was only staying one night and was using the leonardo express to get to fiumicino airport the next day. The facilities are not extensive but are well kept. The breakfast buffet is quite yummy and gives a good range of things to eat (they do pastries and eggs + bacon).

Best location, Good breakfast.
Aircon in room is centralize control, temp can't be adjusted (even there's control panel inside). Storage room is convenient and easy accessible.
