Haven of tranquility

cleanliness, friendliness & tranquility
From the moment that we arrived at the resort we were treated with the warmest and loveliest welcome you could imagine. The hospitality of the owner Jack was second to none. He made us feel so welcome and at home that the experience of staying at this resort during our stay in Thailand will be the most memorable. The location of our apartment was situated directly overlooking the Meaklong river, the tranquillity of this setting is truly relaxing after the hustle and bustle of Bangkok. The owner Jack supplies boat trips along the river stopping off at a tropical garden which is owned by a lady who sells all her owns produce which is grown from her garden along the river. Jack also offers a speed boat trip along the river out to the ocean, There is a lovely noticeable aroma of the coconut plantation which surrounds the area that this resort is situated on. The accommodation is spotless and nicely decorated with all the up to date facilities. I would highly recommend this resort for a relaxing and tranquil holiday. A special thanks to Jack who provided us with a memorable stay in Thailand. kathryn & David

Average hotel with river view

River view, Quiet and private
Too expensive when compare with expectation. Location is far from Amphawa market but it's good in private and quiet.

Good location next to the river

Location next to the river
The room itself was nice enough but nothing really special. What stands out was the terrace overlooking the river. Thai breakfast means rice soup and continental toast with jam and a fried egg = what you can expect. A good alternative to spend the night when visiting the many floating markets in the area

peaceful river retreat

Room, staff & food
We stayed at this hotel to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary and were not disappointed. Fantastic; huge room with river view balcony and spa bath. Staff went above and beyond to please. Nothing was too much trouble. Helped make our evening special by delivering meal, flowers & wine to our room. Following morning we were taken on a boat trip along the river, brilliant. We only stayed one night but wished we had stayed longer. Lots to do & see in this area. Would highly recommend & would definitely stay again. First class accommodation, first class food & first class service, what more could you want?

Attractive and well run

Well run, attractive and friendly
Extremely well-run establishment. It is a credit to the management and the entire staff that everyone we met during our weekend getaway was at pains to make our stay as comfortable as possible. In addition to the warm welcome and personal touch, the hotel is very attractive to look at. We spent the weekend cycling both to the west and to the east of the hotel. After an hour's drive to the west, the scenery changes as the roads climb along the border with Myanmar. Beautiful. We stayed in the Grand River View room. Great view, but somewhat cold. In retrospect it would have been better to stay in one of the villas, since they benefit from so much natural light, and have wonderful bathrooms. Things that could be improved: - water temperature (very lukewarm showers) - breakfast (limited choices for non-Thai cyclists looking for a full American-style breakfast) - interior décor (whilst the exterior of the hotel is first-rate, the dining-room and individual rooms lack taste). Far better to stay in a villa. All in all, I would definitely recommend this hotel. Once last word, the whole place is overseen by a very professional and friendly Thai lady who speaks excellent English.
