Terrible bedbug

Location, food and staff performance
4.7
We have experienced terrible bedbugs for one night. Next day the hotel staff informed us to change a room as the room was for maintainance. If they learnt in advance how the room could be sold!!! Terrible stay at the Magna Grecia Boutique Hotel. I don't recommend to stay at this hotel.

Walking distance to metro and the tourist spot.

Panoramic rooftop Acropolis breakfast view, unique interior room design and good hotel services.

Walking distance to metro and to all the tourist spot. Easy access to the restaurants and bars which just located right next to the hotel. The hotel designated with unique interior room decor. The room is clean and good hotel services provided. Great rooftop breakfast served with panoramic Acropolis view.

Worst hotel ever

View of acropolis is the ONLY good thing about this hotel

Worst hotel. They washed the stairs at 9am, didn't post signs and I slipped and fell down in front of resection and she could not of cared less. Only 1/2 of a curtain in room, safe wasn't bolted down and light enough to lift up and carry away, hair dryer didn't work, church bells beside the hotel chime every 1/2hour (40 times at 7:30am,no bell boy service for luggage, most unpleasant receptionist. They confirmed early checking, but then wouldn't let us in the room until the afternoon (we arrived at 9:30). Worst hotel stay we have ever had.would not recommend this hotel to an enemy, let alone a friend. Avoid at all costs.

Not good value for money

Location
3.3
Hotel is opposite a Greek Church with a bell tower under renovations and scaffolding all over it. So I presumed the bells would be silent. Not so. it seemed they rang ever half hour all night. I inquired before checking in if there was a lift and the receptionist said, "Of course!" However, I had to struggle up the entrance stairs to the lift without help. The room was old a had a bad smell. It appeared as if red carpet, red bed spread, red curtains and gold coloured plumbing and gold coloured wall paper on the feature wall was the reasoning for calling it a boutique hotel and charging a higher price than was warranted. There are better hotels in the Plaka which are much cheaper.

Four Star Hotel. Not a chance

Location - Location - Location
6.3
First of all, a 4 Star hotel. You assume would be more visible. We walked past the hotel twice. As the entrance was a small door with a small sign. Had to walk up some stair to a small desk where a person sat. Did not bother to get up, got handed a key. All staff at the hotel had their private clothes, and was impossible to find out if they where guest or staff. Staff nice enough. Who has given this hotel a 4 star rating? If you ask me, I would give this hotel a 2 star rating, nothing more. All they have to show for are location. Bed was hard and uncomfertable. No curtain to block sun light. No refreshment i.e. thea or coffee in room. International tv channels? Only BBC news. Breakfast was un-interesting and VERY limited. All in all, I am very unhappy about the hotel. But then again we did not stay much in room, mostly outside. But not rested due to light and bed standard.

Rooms are really in bad shape. Some old renovated ones. You have to see them to believe this fact. Air conditioning is good. Bathrooms are Ok. Only thing that's good is location.
