Beautiful design, excellent location but very poor building acoustics
We were so happy when we arrived at the hotel as it is so beautifully designedand you can tell the architect had really put a lot of thoughts into every detail, tried to incorporate lotus and budhalism into the design. the location of the hotel is also perfect, it is within walking distances to many attractions and entertainment. We all thought we made the best decision until we discovered the hotel/ or at lease our room has bery poor building acoustics, we stayed at room 108 and we can hear every moment made by the propel upstairs and people walking up and down the stairs, it is so bad that we could not sleep until the guest upstairs are in bed. I will still rate this hotel a high score but if I do stay I will definitely ask for an upstairs room.

Outer beauty
This thoughtfully designed and well-built property is both pleasing to the eye and a modern take on Lanna style. Despite being in a soi across from the significant Wat Chedi Luang in full festival mode, the hotel was quiet... indeed peaceful. White plaster against dark wood floors is dramatic, but wood floors creak so consider a room upstairs. Late sleepers: use the Do Not Disturb signs as the cleaning staff are an eager lot. Breakfast sensibly ends at midday. Chiang Mai is a delight, even more so when staying at the Makka.

good hotel
This hotel is a nice choice even if I regret that fitness, swimming pool etc.. are over charges when it is part of services in most 4 stars hotels ...

Not Recommend
Just few facts for pro and con. Pro: 1. Location is nice, close to one famous temple. 2. Decoration is nice. 3. Staff are friendly. Con: 1. There are mosquitos, and it's a lot! 2. Room is very small. Another fact, not con or pro, it's not buffet for breakfast, but choose from few sets. Taste is ok, no special. Not recommended for family. The room is just too crowd for solo traveller, not to mention for a family. The mosquito leaves me very bad impression. Not value for money in conclusion.

zen style hotel
hotel was very pretty and at a great location. only disappointment was when we ordered a taxi for the airport, the hotel charged a flat fee which was much higher than the regular taxi price. had we known, we would have hailed our own taxi off the road instead of have reception call a taxi for us.
