Not bad hotel

Nice Coffee Shop, Comfortable Beds, Nice warm rooms
It was good. The beds were really quite comfortable. It had the smell that older places get though. There was a hotel at the opposite end of town (Marmot Lodge) that our friends were staying in and it was very comparable, but the bathroom had a really nice shower and everything was a bit newer and cuter and the wifi worked much better and it was about $50 less per night...so next time we go back we will stay there instead. But if you have already booked at Maligne it is really not bad.

Good location and very comfy bed

Cleanliness, location to Jasper and the price
We always stay at Maligne Lodge when we visit Jasper or pass through en route to Vancouver and we are never disappointed. The quality of the bed linen and comfort of the bed are lovely. The lodge is only a 10 minutes walk into the centre of Jasper where you have the restaurants and bars. The parking is outside of the room which is incredibly handy as you do not need to carry your bags very far. The staff are always very helpful and polite and the checking in/ out is exceptionally easy. The rooms have everything you can require and are exceptionally clean with free wifi which actually works.

The most comfy huge beds and perfect location

Bed, Location, Price
This is the second time we have stayed here and it will remain our go to place when we are visiting Jasper; The beds are massive and really comfy and the bedding is luxury! The location is great with it being a short walk to the main area (under ten minutes) and the staff were all lovely.

Nice hotel, just 5-min ride to famous Lake Louise

Loction, Convenient, Good Rate
Convenient location, just 5-min ride from Lake Louise. Very competitive room rate when compared with Chateau Lake Louise. There is shopping mall and restaurant close to the hotel.

Expensive for what was offered

Only two things - the easy Internet access and the friendly staff.
There is a supply and demand issue in Jasper because apparently the National Parks, who have overall control of the area, are against expansion, so more and more people are trying to visit the existing hotel capacity. Hence the inflated prices. The worst was having no elevator for the luggage and having to personally heave it up concrete, outside steps to an outside first floor walkway off which were the bedroom doors and windows. This meant that everyone walking along could look directly into your bedroom where you were less than a metre away in bed, so either close the curtains and block out the mountain view, or suffer people seeing watching your every move. There was no bar or relaxing, meeting area. Breakfast was cold and lacked any innovation...... And was an extra charge! Would definitely not stay there again. Having said that, the staff were friendly and accommodating, and the wifi access was good.

Too far out of town.

The jacuzzi is lovely
The hotel was ok, but rather expensive for its location. It is really far out of the town centre and it was not fun walking back and forth when it was minus fifteen!!! If you have a car then it's not a problem. The staff were not very helpful. The hotel had a poster up of the bus we wanted to take toCalgary, but when we asked about booking it we were told to walk to the office in town. The rooms are nothing special.

A quiet hotel conveniently located

Good location
we were fortunately upgraded to a family room on the 2nd floor. if we were at the first floor, the room would not be so nice. the 2nd floor has a good balcany and the room is clean. wi-fi is free as well.
Restaurant Tip: This is a conveniently located hotel. It is close to city center.
