Malmaison - Aberdeen

Decor was chic with historical touches, the building was beautiful, staff was friendly
The modern, urban yet cultural vibe of the hotel was pleasant. Not the tidiest hotel, but the rooms were clean. Didn't have a chance to experience the lounge area due to a private party. Didn't have a chance to dine at the restaurant, but it might be worth trying. The rooms were nicely decorated with modern finishes. THE MATTRESS, HOWEVER, WAS QUITE UNCOMFORTABLE! IT FELT LIKE BOX SPRINGS WITH NO CUSHION OR COMFORT!! Also, there were not enough outlets to charge gadgets. Overall, it was a nice hotel and experience.

overated and expensive.

bedrooms are nice
The food and drink are too expensive,£40 for a t bone steak for example and too far away from the town.

Very classy and comfy

Room size , breakfast and style
We enjoyed our stay very much. The standard double room was very comfortable and spacious. Did not have much view from our window but the hotel is in a great area in town. Quiet at night, slept well. The Buffy breakfast was lovely. And you must try their homemade granola. Delicious. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Mal Aberdeen

Location Food Staff
Unfortunately Malmaison is slowly going downhill. The rooms were not particularly clean and their condition is deteriorating. Staff were friendly and the food is good but not value for the high rates they seem to be able to achieve.

Lovely hotel near city centre

Friendly staff, comfortable room, close to city centre
We enjoyed our 2-night stay at Malmaison. Staff were helpful and friendly, our room wasn't ready on arrival and we were offered complimentary drinks at the bar though ended up paying ourselves. The room was good size and quiet. Parking behind the hotel but also easy to walk into town or take local transport (bus) which was frequent.. We had a couple of drinks in the bar - not cheap but always seemed to be a busy place, we had breakfast which wasn't cheap but reasonable good options on the cooked breakfast menu. Continental breakfast options seemed a bit limited but ok. All in all, we had a good stay at Malmaison,

Had a lovely relaxing weekend

Staff, decor and food
Had a lovely stay at malmaison, restaurant and breakfast was really nice, had a massage at the spa which was very enjoyable, nice enough weather to sit outside for a cocktail, and bar staff were more than happy to stay up late to have drinks late too. Room was nicely decorated and comfortable.
