Lovely entrance--Removes you from city commotion

Clean, great bed, swimming pool
Very relaxing. We were done with our trip and ready to relax before flying out. They let us check in early and stay a little later next day. Breakfast was nicely presented and plenty of choices. The entrance is really amazing considering you're coming in off a very noisy, busy street to sudden calm and lush vegetation. A little mix up with my Agoda booking as they used the term "economy" room which the hotel says is a single room and we needed a double. So, experienced an up charge to get bed we needed. Rooms are bright and clean.

nice little gem in Mandalay

location, price, comfort
Very nice little gem in center of city. An oasis away from the hustle and bustle. Well priced, updated. Only problem was lack of hot water and low water pressure, something that plagues other hotels in the area - part of the city infrastructure problem. Internet was slow.

Good basics but language barrier

Good food, good location, clean room
Nice food and location, nice and clean room. However, WiFi speed was extremely poor, on the brink of not being usable at all. Room safe uses power cord instead of battery, which makes it super unsafe! Also, half the staff does not speak English which can make easy things a bit challenging and difficult. Staff in general is friendly and helpful, except for one guy who tried to sell us the Mandalay Marionettes ticket with a 25% "booking fee". However, when we asked another staff later on, she quoted us the correct price.

Quiet place in the center

The hotel is located centrally. But to get there, you have to go through a short tunnel which cuts off the noise and makes the place a quiet and peaceful retreat.
I liked the room and the very friendly staff. The hotel is quiet but very central. Unfortunately only one lady at the desk spoke english. But somehow you manage to communicate. I can only recommend this place. A little bit expensive if you have to take a double room as a solo traveller. They only have 4 single rooms.
