A nature paradise in Palawan
One of the best place in Palawan You need to stop at least one day in Mangrove Resort if you go to Palawan. Wonderful place in the middle of the mangrove. The owners are very friendly and will transmit to you their passion of the nature.

Great company
Claude has been very accommodating from the start. We booked a room for 2 people but we had another person with us. Despite the fact that he was strict about coming with another person at the last minute, he did his best to accommodate and thank goodness he had another room for us! He and his staffs were really funny and great to spend the nights chatting away with. If you are looking for something very "outback" and relaxing, this is the place for you. It is conveniently located near the river and there are many options of activities such as the Waterfalls and kayaking for you to choose from. Good for about 3 - 4 days. However, take note that the amenities are the basics. Do not expect aircon and the lights can get quite dim because they are promoting ecotourism so luxury travellers, please be aware and don't expect anything extra in terms of facilities. All in all, if you come with the right mindset and to simply have a chilled holiday with warm and friendly people, this is the right accommodation for you! Kudos to Claude and team! :)

Great little place
Relaxing, quite, intimate
Great place to stay. It's quite, relaxing and the owners are quite nice to talk to and to be arround. You can take a tuktuk from the airport to bus terminal at Puerto Princessa and from there a local bus for arround 1.5 to the hotel location. Just ask the people on the bus where to get off

A Touch of Paradise in Langogan
Our first stop in the Philippines was the island of Palawan. Here we decided our first stay would be at the lovely Mangrove Resort. The resort is situated in the quiet fishing of Langogan right on the (?) river roughly two hours by bus from Puerto Princesa. As its name suggests, mangrove trees are plentiful along the shoreline of the. As we entered the grounds of the resort we were warmly greeted by the staff and the owner, Claude. A refreshing welcome beverage cooled us and quenched our thirst. There are several common areas for the guest to lounge and visit with each other as well as the staff. Each has its own unique tropical view of the surrounding garden areas. In the distance, mountains and coconut trees line the horizon. The short walk to the river pier gives way to an amazing scene of tranquility along the (?) river. We partook in a short canoe trip upriver our first evening. We were also treated to a freshly caught Mahi Mahi for dinner that evening. Speaking of cuisine, the food at Mangrove Resort was simply amazing. From traditional Filipino to European inspired dishes, anything placed in front of us was quickly devoured. There are numerous activities one can partake in at the resort. Claude arranges everything and provides the guides directly from his staff. Of all the activities offered, we decided on a fishing trip with a local boatman and fishermen and two hikes to nearby waterfalls. The fishing excursion was a memory that will never be forgotten. We set out early in the morning from the river pier at the resort and were in deeper waters in no time ready to catch one of the staples of the local diet - flying fish. After setting out a kilometer of net we did what every fisherman does - wait. And, after the wait, we pulled our catch in. With the bounty from the sea we headed to a private beach for a wonderful shore lunch with the crew. Merriment was had all around and soon we found ourselves becoming quick friends with everyone. We

Our stay at Mangrove resort
Amazing view of the garden, The beautiful Langogan river and paddle boat
We were surprised by the warm welcome of the owners Claude "Pacino" and Marichu. We enjoyed the boat paddle at Langogan river and flower-staring at the garden. Claude was indeed a nice guy, he was so attentive with our needs and treated us like his family members. This place is great for those looking for a quiet, close to nature resort and warm, friendly staffs. We would definitely recommend this awesome place and we are looking forward to coming back here again. :-)

Palawan hidden gem
When you go to Palawan, you usually seek for places not crowded, near the sea, where nature is beautiful and wild (jungle!), with great food and with a relaxed atmosphere. Mangrove Resort has all of that, and even more: the staff is very very friendly (hi all!), you have access to a beautiful river, Claude the owner would let you use his bikes, boats or snorkeling gears for free. Also people from the fishing village (langogan) are very welcoming. We ended up playing a basket ball game with locals in the village or singing in a karaoke with the staff! Also we had such an amazing time, going fishing flying fishes with locals, eating the fishes and drinking on the beach. Our best experience in Philippines, recommended for nature lovers and for getting away from the crowd! def wort it!
