Peaceful, unplugged, relaxing

helpful staff, delicious food, good outdoor activities
If you want to get away, unplug and enjoy nature, then this is the place for you. They offer real grassroots activities, but they also let you relax as much as you would want. It is a peaceful place, that has everything you would need (food, a good bed, friendly people). I ate all of my meals there for a week, and I never had a bad meal. I was also able to kayak on the river, enjoy walks to the beach that was next to a fishing village, and hiked up to a beautiful hidden waterfall. They were always accommodating and friendly. I would recommend the Mangrove Resort.

the worst hotel in palawan

there is brownout, it is a house only . the location is not good. the food they say free breakfast is toasted bread only. it is not worth the money i paid, so we just go back to the city rather than staying another night, even if i paid full for our stayed in that guesthouse. we will not go back there anymore. the food is expensive and u dont have any choice becoz its very far from the market. its like a house in the mountain with no good facilities at all. u can use wifi outside ur room but only for 1 hr for morning and 1 hr in the evening. really terrible the place

A Few Days in the Jungle

The owners and staff and location.
Enjoyed an excellent week there viewing wildlife from the river and walking in the forest, hoping to have some good photographs from my stay.

Food was fantastic, location was great. We stayed there for 3nights, very relaxing in beautiful surroundings. Right on the river, 10 mins from the beach. The beach is not sandy, it's made from small Quartz pebbles. Nobody there except us and the village kids. Go see the fishing village, lots of genuine smiles. Be aware that this is an Eco lodge, not a resort. Apart from the beach and the village there.s nothing there. If you want to relax and enjoy nature this is the place. It,s not suitable for children, the water was too rough for swimming and there's nothing for them to do.

for the nature lover

wilderness comfort; cute puppies on site; fresh coconuts
This is the place for those who want some greenery, but the comfort of a bed. It's away from the hustle and bustle of Puerto Princessa and the sandy beaches of El Nido. Embrace your inner tree-hugger!

Arnold Schwarzenegger's voice "I'll Be Back"

Very clean, Amazing hospitality, Great location
I spent the entire month of January on Palawan. 2 weeks in El Nido and 2 weeks in Mangrove. This being my first trip to the Philippines, It was quite an adventure traveling alone. I didn't experience any of the "horror stories" that I was warned about from the other guys in my shop. I was welcomed with the warmest greeting I have gotten from a hotel. He gave me a tour of the fishing village which I loved going to. That night for dinner I was asked if I wanted these huge shrimp (ones that I still can't get over how big them suckers are) or a crab that was kicking the air in a useless attempt to escape. The choice was easy, the crab had to be put out of its misery, and it was amazing. The room I stayed in was the double queen bungalow. There was no mosquito net as the room is sealed and has a hot shower. The whole resort is very clean, and it's quiet. There is no town noise as you're not really in a town or anything. No it's not on a beach, but it’s a short walk to it; however, it is right next to an incredible river. My first trip down the river was an experience unlike any other. The river is very calm, it was over cast and raining in the distance. I listened to the monkeys and birds as I paddled as quietly as I could. All in all, It well exceeded my expectations. I felt as if I became part of their family. From Karaoke to days at the beach or chilling at the resort, they made sure I was having a good time. This place was the perfect spot to recharge my drained batteries. So now I'm planning next years trip and I most defiantly will be returning to Mangrove Resort.

our honeymoon at mangrove resort at langogan

sevice was excellent and was very good especially the fresh seafood.hospitality was great .they make you feel welcome and are so helpful helping you to arrange your activities
This was a great time .we enjoyed our honeymoon .and even tho you have to travel some distances eg. Underground river , you travell buy bus everywhere.catch bike to the bus terminal from the airport it will cost you 100 pesos and a bus to mangrove resort angogan it will cost you 70 pesos per person.don't make my mistake and catch a taxi van ...3000 pesos. We traveled everywhere by bus, it's cheap if you dont mind Ruffing I said we had the best time and Clyde and his wife are beautiful the fishing boat's an eye opener and safe and the underground river is a must.We will be back.
