Big room
I was pretty surprised how big the room was, everything was very clean and in good condition, the only odd thing is the door to the room did not auto lock, I am not used to staying in hotels with physical keys, so just remember to use the key to lock the door after closing.

Enormous room with fantastic A/C
This is one of the only places I've stayed in Thailand so far where the A/C was truly world class. I stayed in a room in one of the older side buildings, and it had dual A/C units (one in the living room, one in the bedroom) and was more than capable of bringing the inside temp down to 17c on a 40c Chiang Mai day. The furnishings were old and there was some mold/mildew in the bathroom in the grout/trim, but otherwise it's hard to complain for the price. The fitness centre is great if you like to do yoga, but has a very old universal gym that probably had already seen better days a decade ago, and had no free weights to speak of, or even benches. It did have 4 nice dedicated yoga rooms with mirrors and lots of cardio equipment though, if that's your jam.

Decent hotel
Out stay at the Marinarakorn was satisfactory. Too bad the pool is not on the west side (there is no sun in the afternoon and the water is cold) but the breakfast buffet is very decent, the staff were helpful with the airport pick-up and the rooms, although very OLD were extremely clean and spacious (and well equipped with couch and all). Overall, I might come back if the price is right.

Okay for the price
The room itself is spacious and generally mosquito free(as best can be expected). The furniture is old but seem to be original Chinese pieces, which creates an authentic Asian atmosphere. Downside is that the room I stayed in was noisy, as it was located just opposite the swimming poo. Breakfast was passable but not great. General personnel was adequate. Swimming pool was small and the water appeared a bit dirty. The location was fairly convenient to the Night Bazaar. A decent but not outstanding hotel.

Good location
Whenever I visit Chiangmai for Songkran, I usually check in to this place as I find it very convenient for me. It is a relatively short walk to Tha pae Gate and also to the night bazaar. The rooms are bright and clean and comfortable. Only thing is this time I happen to be on the top most floor and since there is no elevator its a long climb up for me anyway (4 floors). As for privacy, it is pretty good.

Great location
Location is fantastic a short walk to the night market in one direction and the old city in the other. rooms are lgood size with a seperate lounge (I stayed in the residence). Breakfast buffet is exte
Had another great stay at the Manninarakorn, the hotel is unpretentious but offers good sized accomodation at a reasonable price. There is a convenience store and a bank right next to the hotel and it is a short walk to bars and restaurants to suit all tastes. Pool is quite small and very cold but this was not a disadvantage to me as I found the cool water refreshing.

Perfect location if you know the city already
Nice location, not far from Chiang Mai Gate and Night Bazar. Perfect if you know the city and can drive a motobike. Rooms are big and clean.

Walking distance to almost everything
Second time in this place. I was satisfied last time and so I was this time too. Large room, almost 70 m3 including a good breakfast for two. The swimmingpool is place so it´s only sun there a few hours around noon. Not so good for sunbathing. But the rest was ok.
