First they put me in a small room facing a wall, next day in a room without Wifi signal - The third room was what the website promised. Chief manager was kind and helped to make my stay satisfying.

Central location, okay place
The hotel is okay but could be better with a little effort. The room was dusty but so was the rest of the city. When we checked in, we were given a room with a view of a building wall about a metre away so went back down & asked for another room with success, a room higher up with a view of the city. The room had large windows, great natural light. There was a king bed, A/C, fridge, TV, soap/shampoo & towels. There was a shower but one of the doors had a broken holder so the door did not close entirely & threatened to fall off. There is a mini balcony off the room, a smoking balcony but also another shared balcony at the end of the hallway which was nice. Breakfast (buffet or off a limited menu) was provided on the top floor which had a great view of the surrounding area. Coffee, juice & fruit was provided with both. Wifi worked well in the lobby but was sporadic in the room. The night market is only about a 10 minute walk away & many restaurants nearby. The front staff had adequate English & was helpful. Overall, an okay hotel & could stay there again if had too as there was nothing critically wrong with it.

Noisy all day and night. Rooms not so clean. Warm water for 2 minutes. Staff rip you off when booking taxi. The location is great, can walk anywhere from here. That's about it.

Cleaning lady shakedown
Price, Location
Made a small stain the size of a quarter on the bedspread, cleaning lady wanted a tip to clean it. I gave her 20,000 Kip which she was not happy with and demanded 100,000 Kip.I told her I thought this is not how hotels do business and that I will settle with the front counter and she said they will charge me full price for new comforter.

Tiny rooms, unclean toilet and shower area, no Wifi at all
The standard room was very tiny, hardly space for luggage. Toilet and shower area was dirty - water clogged in the shower, dirty shower doors and floors, unmopped floors, uncleaned sink with dirt from last user. Towels were brown instead of white. Paid double to get laundry service and the clothes came back all smelling of smoke and had to go outside to look for another laundry at half the price to wash the same clothes again. Some room window faced a wall of the next building so there is no light at all. We asked for a change and the staff gave a brighter room but it was not clean. Room Wifi password was given but did not work at all and the staff could not do anything about it. Neither did the wifi in the lobby work. We had to pay and sit in cafes which had good wifi but could do nothing online at night in our room or lobby. We stayed for 4 nights and it was not worth it, for a quick sleep perhaps. For this price there is a much more spacious and better standard hotel across the street. Would not recommend Manorom.

Very Pleasant
On a side street away from the main noise. Wonderful comfy bed, the softest we had while our stay in Laos. Clean, comfortable, breakfast on top floor in the morning with a view. Lovely. Downside was we could not connect to the provided WIFI from our room. Poor signal.
