Great location but overpriced

location, friendly staff,cleanliness
We had a wonderful time at the Marine but were disappointed at the service as this is not a cheap option. We waited quite a while for a table for breakfast and then had to ask for things like a glass, a bowl. Did not expect to have to do this in a nice hotel. Other people waited much longer. There are much cheaper hotels in the area which offer better service and are just as good as the Marine. We will probably not stay there again. Definitely not worth the price they charge!

Oasis of calm at on the periphrey of the big smok

Nice reception staff, unique, attractive location,, sea views.
Fine, good price, good location, lovely reception greeting. Room for improvement, Please provide 'air ' to breathe in rooms, if having to succumb to the non- sense, health and safety overt concern, that a unsuspecting, over exicited, individual, esconced, in a double room -may happen to fall out the window! An unlikely event, but ruins it for the underwhelmed punter. Please provide a window that opens properly, even a dozen rooms, that can be requested. To sleep near a sea front, make it the experience, that is the Hotel hallmark.

Not very satisfactory

close to my family, local shopping and transport
Very Poor. We stayed nearly 2 weeks, no one knew us after this time we were still strangers. Common areas of hotel were dirty and unclean, Needs a full make over. TV to small for size of room, no fridge facility in room. Some staff were rude at times but others were fantastic and made up for the lack of interest in issues. Overall bad experience.

Nice hotel near Dublin

Situated at the sea
marine hotel is situated in sutton and dublin can easily reached by dart in 20 minutes. double rooms are very nice and comfortable while single rooms are really small. many of the rooms have sea view. the lobby and bar are nice and when the weather is bright you can take your drink in a garden facing the sea. breakfast is below average with small selection and poor service.
Restaurant Tip: In Howth (1 DART station away) fresh caught fish is served in several restaurants at the harbour.

Marine Hotel Sutton

Lovely hotel, beautiful bay to look out onto and take a walk to. The room was spacious and clean and I slept very well (perhaps something to do with the guiness also|)
I thought that the hotel was a welcome retreat from travelling. I was in Sutton to visit relations but had spent a while travelling and had almost no sleep the night before. The hotel and the room were really as good as having all my comforts of home whilst I was away and before I went to see my relations I was able to shower and get ready for a night out. It would have been difficult had the room not been so nice...it waslike being in your own home. Very relaxing and well equiped. All good,
