Getting better again
Great to see an improved and varied breakfast menu. Bacon is back and needs to be there at least every second day. Also good to see staff wearing traditional outfits again, it looks great. Huge improvement on last stay and when each sections renovations are finished it will be the go to place again.

Melasti for me!
I have stayed at the Melasti Beach Resort and Spa for the previous 4 consecutive years and once again loved my stay. Staff are fabulous and always very friendly ... Nothing is ever too much trouble . The location right on the beach is superb and the sunsets unforgettable. Can't wait for my next visit. 😁

Beach Front
Came on my own, this is the first time I have stayed at Melasti. Nice breakfast, good pools, friendly staff and good location. Only thing is the standard rooms not very good I upgraded to a pool view with balcony and was very happy nice big room.

Still keep coming back
Melasti is where we have stayed for the last 4 years We have had some issues over the years with having to move rooms and aircons not working, mould in rooms and money stolen from people we travelled with. But this year we went back again and we had poolside deluxe rooms 170, 171, 172 and there were fabulous... Private area around the lap plunge pool, quiet away from noisy renovations and easy access from street. Good wifi, minimal sun so quite cooler than other areas of the hotel When the renovations are completed, Melasti will be looking much better. Old tired hotel but slowly working on it and doing a good job One of the few left that are Indonesian owned and employ a lot of staff Only trouble we had was a shirt went to the laundry and came back very stained, even after 2 washes. If it was a 3 dollar Bintang singlet, would of been fine but an expensive shirt purchased in Hawaii so was not happy. Staff were not very helpful when we complained either. Excellent location on legian beach, close to fabulous restaurants such as Wayan and friends bar, Sammys restaurant, Romeos and Mugshots Also excellent money changer, Red Lips, is her name. She is across the road in Kodak shop. Ask for red lips, beautiful lady and I always buy her Iced coffee from Mugshots coffee shop around the corner. Very genuine and has looked after us for over 4 years Angus bar straight out the front or Jackie bar also, with these 2 beautiful bainese men bringing you great sunset drinks service on beanbags 👌

Great Resort but Tired
Recently spent 3 weeks at The Melasti. Although we certainly had a few problems with hall lights being left on every night (lit up bedroom), lobby noise late at night, & aircon, we still loved The Melasti! They're in the process of renovating it, which is exactly what it needs, fingers crossed they keep the gorgeous Balinese decor! The location is perfect, the staff wonderful, a change to the breakfast menu would be great, but& we'll definitely be back again next year!
