Closing down
Staff, location, room
Location and staff were great. Food was very average, unfortunately the place is closing and it had an air about it. Key cards didn't register in lift, hair dryer nearly caught on fire and someone had to run to shop to buy one. Just seemed like it has been left to let go.

Bad room condition
nothing much
wifi connection only at the lobby is totally unacceptable for a 4 star hotel, moreover, it was also weak. The room condition was really old, especially the shower head at the bathroom, only splashes of water and no consistent flow, frustrating.

Good Location, Good Price
location to the city, comfortable room, good value for money
Having lived in Sydney for several years, I knew the Mercure was just across the street from Kings Cross train station and 1 stop to Martin Place station. This hotel is about $100 less than any hotel you will find in the CBD but only 1 train stop away.

Services is fast and good
Fast checkin. Fast check out. Honest staff.
A comfortable stay. If include free wifi in the room will be better and complementary breakfast will be much better.

Value for money
Inexpensive, comfortable, and friendly service staff
Comfortable. Room did seem a little aged, and the carpet did not seem to be vacuumed. Wi-Fi is paid though, which was a bit of a let down. Otherwise, a comfortable stay in a place where the red-light district is just outside along Darlinghurst.
