Could be better

Peacefulness, helpful staff & serenity
Everything was fine except for few minor things: 1) Given size of the estate, the villa was abit small in comparison, and bed was only queen size instead of king size. 2) We were there during winter, and it would be better if the hotel provide bathroom slippers as the flooring for bathroom is tiles, and extremely cold to walk on. 3) Lack of privacy as glass panel in the bathroom faces walking path.

lovely people

the owners and staff were committed to our stay being enjoyable and provided outstanding service.the organic soaps and beautiful breakfasts created detailed finishing touches that were enjoyable.
this was advertised as a romantic place to stay yet the number of children there didn't really make this environment romantic or relaxing. also the showers, couches in the rooms are outdated and could do with being replaced. overall the service, unique rooms and gardens made this a wonderful getaway that is worth going back for.

Stunning Retreat

The grounds are absolutely stunning! The buffet breakfast is delicious and the cottages are gorgeous and very clean.
We had an amazing stay at the retreat. We stayed in a forest edge villa which is spacious and very cosy. We were there over Summer on very hot days but the rooms are quite cool. The pool is beautiful and the staff were delightful. The food was amazing and the retreat grounds are stunning! We had our 9 month old baby with us who loved it too. Will definitely be going back.

Stunning getaway for couples.

The retreat has beautiful gardens along with a common share lodge that is well appointed. The owners and staff were extremely friendly and informative.
We wish we could have stayed longer and plan on staying there again soon. Beautiful cooked breakfast every morning in the lodge. So much to do with walking tracks, beautiful gardens, sauna, spa and pool or just to relax by the fire in the lodge. Definitely recommend the Merribrook Retreat.

Best stay in Margaret River!

Breakfast spread is awesome! Hosts are so warm and friendly! Beautiful wood fireplace at the guest lounge!
Awesome!!! If I ever visit Margaret river again I definitely will stay at Merribrook retreat! Such a beautiful place and so well maintained. Room is clean and has a good heater. There is also nice aroma from the essential oils... So relaxing... We had the best breakfast in our visit to WA! A fantastic spread & yummy healthy food. Breakfast served by the friendly hosts at the guest lounge which has a fireplace, warms the heart, tummy and body! There is a 3km trail in this resort. Nice morning walk in winter and you could see some kangaroos from a distance. This place is definitely value for money!

Perfecetly relaxing weekend

Quiet location, beautiful walks and perfect breakfast
The chalets are perfectly comfortable and the location superb, although mobile signal is pretty crappy as it is in a valley, the lodge has free wifi, and you only have to drive down the road a little before your mobile phone kicks back in. The hosts are perfect and I would imagine this is even lovelier in the summer when you could swim and spend more time outdoors - but for a winter getaway it was perfectly relaxing.

Simply magical

The grounds on which it's situated, the room itself was so spacious and comfortable and happily situated and the wildlife that is present at Merribrook.
We will return as many times as we can in our lifetime. This stay has been absolutely magical. Lorraine and Richard are very helpful and attentive. The grounds that Merribrook Retreat is on has been lovingly and painstakingly transformed into an amazing arboretum full of flora and fauna. Their breakfasts are cooked using their own produce that they grow. The room is actually split into a day room and a bedroom and we really loved that. The views are magnificent and it's conveniently located amongst a lot of the attractions that we enjoy like Cowaramup and Margaret River.

very wonderful stay, good food and comfortable roo

great breakfast spread, comfortable bed and beautiful views
It was a wonderful stay with a buffet breakfast that was prepared by a chef each morning. We had a choice of hot food as well as the best pancakes and fluffy eggs I've eaten anywhere. The room was comfortable and there was gorgeous ceiling to floor windows that allowed us to see the lake and a long walk around the mountains that was marked out for us. We stayed in the lake house and it was very well worth it.

Lovely hotel, service with a smile

The owners, the breakfast, the surroundings and the communal area.
No map was provided from your site and the address could not be found on our GPS. We wasted about two hours trying to locate the address and so arrived after dark which was difficult, nor did we realise the hotel did not serve dinner. Overall the hotel was lovely, your site was not as helpful as I feel it should have been.
