Location is good with a short walk into town. Front desk staff were great. Has a bar/ restaurant in the hotel
Overall impression is good however it was disappointing to find that the room did not have a built in heating/ cooling unit.

Great find in Dublin

Situated on canal within easy walking distance of centre of a Dublin.(10/15 mins) On bus route near parks and restaurants. Quiet location, spacious rooms
Very reasonably priced hotel in great location. (€79) Near National Concert Hall where we were at a concert. Pleasant reception staff. Bright, busy restaurant and nice bar. Large airy rooms. Beautiful quiet location on Dublin canal. Easily accessible to city centre, 15 min walk or on bus route. Near good selection of small restaurants/coffee shops. Free large secure car park.

Nice hotel with good service and helpful staff

Close to Aviva stadium. central location
it was an enjoyable stay, we had drinks in the bar which provided a good service, while the room was spacious and clean. the only problem for us was that the car park was full, and we had to park on the side of the street
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Perfect for staying in when there is an event at the RDS or Aviva stadium

Good location, clean rooms, service with a smile

Professional, efficient service. Good range of relevant information within hotel literature
Rooms are clean but public areas in need of some redecoration. Breakfast was tasty and freshly prepared. Service was good, arranging taxis, offering to keep luggage etc.

Great location

best features of the hotel is the fact that you can walk to everything if you want, but if not there are Hop-on Hop-off buses every where. If you want to see the city, that's the way to go. Rooms were spacious and very helpful, friendly staff.
i would definitely recommend this hotel to travelers. very clean, spacious rooms, centrally located and a lovely city.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: If you want to know where and what you want to see, take the whole route of the Hop-on Hop-off. When you're done, you will know what you do and don't want to spend time at. The Guiness Store is a great tour but give yourself a couple of hours. My sister, who does not drink also enjoyed the tour because it is very well layed out and interesting.

Good Value

Good Value, Comfortable Surroundings
Hotels could be quite expensive if located at the City Centre. Mespil Hotel is therefore an excellent choice for travellers who do not wish to spend excessively on accommodation but maintain good standards. Although this hotel is about 10 minutes to the Centre, the walk is quite pleasant. There are a variety of restaurants and stores around the hotel itself and so there is no lack of support facilities. The staff at the hotel is friendly and helpful.
Travel tip: Dublin is not a large city and one can probably enjoy the city best by walking. Taxis seem plentiful and taxi-drivers are helpful.

Mespil stay during the volcanic eruption!

Staff extremeley friendly and helpful, particularly understanding in relation to need access to internet for alternative travel arrangements during flight cancellations. Comfortable beds and quiet room as requested. Everything you could possibly need for breakfast. Taxi rank right outside the door.
Comfortable hotel, ideally placed for city centre 20 minute stroll, or taxi rank right outside the door. Although on a busy road the outside noise on an evening was neglible. Service good, staff very welcoming and pleasant. Recommend city tour on open top bus.

Mespil Hotel
This is a great place to stay in leafy Georgian Dublin.
