felt like a 5 star hotel, value for money

large rooms, large bed, beautiful hotel
7.7
for the price i paid, this hotel was more than i bargained for. the first step into the hotel, i thought i have entered the wrong hotel. the lobby was beautiful, and the room was huge. the bed was big enough to accommodate 4 people. the staff were respectful, but could have been more friendly with a simple smile. its about 15 mins walk to senado square, and located very near to the ferry terminal.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: St Paul's Ruins is a must visit. Although crowded, the view on a sunny day with a blue sky was beautiful.

Decent sized hotel with good amenities

close to all the casinos

it was a pleasant hotel in the middle of macau. lacked complimentary breakfast. but close to everything you want to do in macau. casinos and ktv. hotel shuttle service from the macau maritime ferry terminal was very convenient. all in all, affordable and good sized rooms.

Front desk really helpful, scary bathroom .

Staff on front desk, good English, quick with check in and out.Good recommendations where to eat.
6.7
lighting in the bath room is not just bad, but out of some scary movie, has a kind of blue tint and flashing did not help.near impossible to put make up on. room was cosy, and the bed really comfortable.just all a little old. there was still hair in bath tub ,from the last guest, or even worst house keeping,so cleaned the bathroom myself, which generally you do not expect to do in a hotel.best feature, front desk staff, maybe they should run housekeeping.
Restaurant Tip: Do not be put off by the huge size and lack of patrons ,food is ok and quick, there are healthy choices,[tuna salad, if you do not want carbs, ask for no potatoes,as its loaded with them] portions are good and its affordable.staff are kind, quick and food is hot.

good location, big but rather out-dated rooms

If you plan to walk around to the casinos in the older part of Macau and have a good night's sleep, then the Matropark Hotel will be okay for you. The hotel has no casino of it's own so it is relatively more quiet in the evenings. The concierge however was not very helpful when I asked about tours of Macau. He could have made suggestions or alternatives after informing me that their only tour was fully booked already. Internet connection, be it LAN or wifi, is non-existent in the rooms. You are, however, given 30 minutes of free internet use in the four or five hotel desktops in the hotel lobby. Please be forewarned though that you cannot print nor use a USB with these desktops. Hotel staff also does not understand English that well.

I really enjoyed this hotel

small boutique hotel in quiet location with good restaurant
10
unlike the behemoth hotels, this is a class small boutique hotel. it is on the top of the hill so you'll want to take a taxi up but can easily walk down in 10-15 minutes to the wynn and other major hotels. excellent chinese restaurant on premises, also an upscale adult gentlemen's club adjacent if one is inclined. rooms are average in size, very nice quality towels and linens. i would definitely return here.

No complaints but nothing special either

reasonable price compared to other hotels in Macau
7.7
great location with lots of local restaurants on the street, just 5-10 minute walk to Wynn or Grand Lisboa. Not cheap but very reasonable price compared to most other hotels in Macau. I would return.
Restaurant Tip: walk into any chinese restaurant with a photo menu and order random foods. Portions are large, 2 entres will feed 3 people.
