1st time in Bacolod

The location was good
4.7
The staff doesn't know how to knock before coming in our room when we requested for an extra blanket. And the CR was so gross because it was not cleaned properly. There were still used panty liners behind the curtain window. But the wifi was strong so it's quite okay.

Noisy, no view (at all)

It was cheap, but not much else to recommend it.
6.3
With the hotel being on a busy road, junction, there was constant - and loud - traffic noise all day and well into the early hours of the morning. There must have been some clubs nearby as there was a cacophony of very loud music to fill the quieter hours of the night. The hotel is part of a block, so there are no outside views, the windows that do exist look out onto a corridor. Being called "Middle Town Inn" I expected it to be near the centre of the city, but it was not. Beds were very hard. Still, for around £12 per night you get a room with a bed (or two), washroom, shower, TV and decent internet.

It was ok because of its location

location, clean
3.7
I called up the hotel to change the dates of my booking. When we checked in they were able to see the rebooking I did. When we checked out, we had to wait for half an hour and they had to call the lady I talked with when I rebooked. It was frustrating!
Nessa J. Groups Philippines, October 21, 2013
Overall it was just okay.

Only the location.
6.7
It was just okay. It really was just a place for sleeping. We couldn't even hang out there because the wifi was useless. The cable for the TV worked on the frist day but for our remaining days, the TV was also useless. Also, the water heater was useless as well. It looked new but it didn't even work. The wall had a hole on it. We couldn't even adjust the aircon's temperature because the handles were removed. So if it got too cold, we just had to suck it up and withstand it. The staff were okay. Okay is really just the word for them. When you get to the hotel, don't expect anyone to help you carry your bags. The security guard was the only one who actually helped us. Thumbs up for him!

Terrible and extremely disappointing

I would like to delete this experience from my memory. As I couldn't cancel this booking, I was forced to stay in a horrible place. Wouldn't want to experience anything like this again.

Shocked to see the facilities, thin wooden wall partitions with voices of occupants in another room filtering in and linolem flooring with small cockroaches and ants crawling. One even crawled on top of my mom's beddings. I am extremely disappointed in this experience. Aside from above negative points, here is a list of the others: *Lax security: unwanted visitor let in into the inn, found outside my door without my permission *Super old and stained linolem flooring *Foam mattress covered by grayish, well-worn and smelly beddings *Wi-Fi router broke down 4-5 days towards the end of my 10-day stay in this inn. Still not fixed when I checked-out. *Karaoke sounds easily heard from outside until the wee hours of the morning; Sleep quality : very poor *Smelly towels, as my mom put it, they smelled like a man. *Tried to pad additional bill of laundry which I have always paid in cash onto my outstanding bill so I told them to check again because I have always paid in cash for all my bills. It was taken out and I was cleared to check-out.

Nice for a budget hotel

Comfortable beds, Good aircon, Great location
7.7
Let's be clear, this is a budget hotel. The taxi driver said it was the old BIR office - and it kind of looks like it. But for a no frills hotel right in the middle of the downtown action it was great! Easy walk to the SM mall, and Lagoon Park. Our room was in internal room, no outside view. But we are in the hotel only to sleep so for me this was great. No outside light or noise. Friendly and efficient staff. We did not eat at the restaurant so I can't comment on it. There were too many great places to eat outside - right across the street is a 24 hour arroz caldo shop! For the price you can't beat it.

Just OK the room design in some rooms is very poor, the Wi-Fi is hitty missy,

good place

nice hot shower, noisy corridor

not bad location but you would not notice it if you are new in the area plus you will need a map to walk around the city

Value for Money

Location, Friendly Staff
7.7
The room was average - it is worth the price we paid for, so it's okay. On the flip side, the hotel's location is perfect.
