Good location, low price in an expensive city. Good high speed internet(if you have a wired room).
One of the worser $100 hotels you'll stay in. Room is very run down. They charge for ice. Water temperature inconsistent. Free taxi shuttle is only if you book directly with hotel.
If you can't find anything else, this hotel is acceptable. One of the more unimpressive hotels I have stayed in for this price, but I guess Bahrain is expensive. I was disappointed, especially during Ramadan, when most hotels were empty. Rooms have not been updated for decades. Right in the middle of the souk area downtown though. Good walk around area.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Check out the museum. It's very nice.

Disco pub for many is readily available for all.
Didn't see live bands (for Filipino only).
Smoke all over the place must observe no smoking area for non smokers pls. Parking is the WORST.
Awal hotel Bahrain is accessible to all. But I hate the disco pub for allowing everybody to smoke what about those who are non smokers. People are easy to deal with but parking is the worst can't imagine taking a long walk before you get back to the hotel. Not recommended for family with children young and adult.
Restaurant Tip : Swan Lake for Filipino food pork barbecue, sinigang and many other delicacies.

Although the cost is cheap, if you are looking for a good night's sleep give it a miss.
