Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

Central location, good service by hotel staff.
The hotel was full of prostitutes, in the bars and roving throughout the floors. If l had known it was this kind of hotel, l would of not stayed here. There was also no internet access in each room, whereby the only place to access the internet was in the lobby.
Apart from getting constantly hassled by prostitutes throughout my stay, the hotel was ok. I would say it was a 3 star hotel rather than a 4 star. Unfortunately, l would not wish to stay at this hotel again because of the prostitutues. Might suit some, but not for the majority of others. Certainly not a family hotel.

An active place with much going on on a Thursday evening. Their is entertainment in the lounges and activities going on in the banquet hall seemed to be a wedding. The rooms are spacious and clean and the staff is gracious, considerate and helpful. The breakfast is not bad and you can find things that you like for breakfast ... suggest the hard boiled eggs though because the scrambled eggs were a little different. Good coffee. Nice pool... forget the gym though its in rough shape.
The gym is in real dis-repair and should be updated with new equipment. Parking is at a premium in Bahrain and it is good to have a place to park ... but don't expect to find your spot again on a Thursday night if you come back late.
The Gulf Gate is in a great location. The rooms are clean. The staff is considerate and friendly.
The pool area is very clean and pleasant. It is a very interesting hotel there is always something going on socially. Like weddings and seems to be a spot where local dignitaries of different communities show up for photo opportunities. The breakfast is decent. Except I would opt for the hard boiled eggs and skip the scrambled. It would be nice if they had some bacon or some better sausage other than vienna canned sausage in the breakfast buffet.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Some great mosques nearby as well as the local souks very close. Many restaurants and entertainment around this area.

Budget Hotel, friendly staff.
rooms in poor condition. Beds are hard, linner not washed well or clean. Toilets very old.
Hotel is well situated, shopping is nearby. Breakfast is 4 on a scale of 10. Rooms are old and beds need to be more comfortable. hard pillows and mattresses. For the price, it is tolerable for one or two nights. Transport is difficult to get.
Shopping Tip : Walk out from behind the hotel to reach shopping and money changers. It is shorter.
