Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

Room for improvement
Near to Central Bus Station
5
We appreciated the hotel has upgraded us to a suite. We believed it was because they're running out of ordinary double rooms because the day we checked in was just before Passover, we saw a big group of policemen checked in the hotel later that night. They probably were from other cities and were temporarily stationed in Jerusalem to enhance security.
However the stay was nothing more than a business stay. You go there just for a sleep. Breakfast was not included and the meal price was surprisingly high (USD78 for a Shabbat dinner) so we didn't eat there. We stayed for 5 nights and there was one day they forgot to make up our room. I had to call to the front desk to ask for clean towels and shampoo. Despite staying in a suite, there were not even a cup for our use. My husband went to the front desk and the staff gave him a few paper cups.
The hotel is located in the Jewish district so completely no shops nor restaurants available during Jewish holidays. We either had dinner near the Old City, order delivery or had some simple food in the room.

Great location but dated furnishings
Near to conference center, good breakfast

It is a short 10 minutes' walk to the international conventional center. To the Jaffa gate of the old city, it is about 45 minutes.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Bus No. 1 from the street across the hotel goes directly to the Dung Gate, a short walk from the Western Wall. It passes through Malchei Yisrael - an interesting busy Jewish shopping street.

authentic israeli breakfast, helpful staff

Overall a nice hotel, staff could have been friendlier although it was decent value for money. Around 15 walk from Ben Yehuda st and around 25 from the old city.

Adequate hotel in Jerusalem
Price not as outrageous as other hotels; location close to Bus Station and a couple of direct buses to Old City; friendly front desk

We were a family of 5 that took two connected rooms. Rooms were smallish, esp with third bed. But clean, and bath was clean. Direct bus (#1 or 6) to Old City made it inexpensive to get around. Eating options exist around hotel. Breakfast in hotel was disappointing. Front desk helpful. But they charge $10 per day for internet.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Go on the "old City " tour with Stoneman, which costs 70NIS pp. Reasonable oriental food options next to hotel, near bus stop.

very good restaurant Bistro Francois - just a 5 minute walk up Jaffa Road
- A nice walk to Ben Yehuda - where all the restaurants and stores are

Jerusalem Gold is Gold
Clean, Professional and efficient staff, decent breakfast.
8.7
Easy to locate hotel with price comparative value. I believe the star rating is accurate and it is a decent place to stay. Quiet area of Jerusalem and staff was professional and pleasant. Breakfast was minimal but for the price, this hotel was a great value and I did not expect more. I would recommend this hotel anytime for those who need just a place to sleep as the cost through Agoda was very good and was well worth the money paid.
The room and whole hotel was clean and well maintained. I felt the owners had pride in the hotel and it is a well deserved pride - especially for the price. You may have to pay more, but this hotel has all we needed and we are grateful that it was available when we needed it.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Short cab ride to Old Jerusalem

Gold Jerusalem
