The German colony is a charming place for hanging out -- there are cafes and a few decent eating places, and the overall look of the place is quaint. Hotel is about 15 minutes walk to Yemin Moshe, where there is a nice park and little windmill. Room was basic but clean, overall pretty okay if you just need a clean room to sleep in. Staff was quite nice. Rooms are upstairs and there is no lift, so not ideal for people with chunky luggage.
