Large rooms with decent location & good breakfast

overall, we were happy staying here. the service was good and the rooms were large. we had a buffet breakfast, which was delicious and included in the price of the room. the hotel is located just 10 minutes away by foot from the central bus station, which was very useful for taking buses to other parts of israel. overall, i would return here again.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The Israel Museum and Knesset (Parliament) are both located within a 20-minute walk of the hotel.

We spend 2 nights in this hotel last month and had a poor experience. The staff were not friendly or helpful the hotel is old and the bathroom in our room smelled awful. The breakfast was a joke serving cereal and others in dirty utensils.
I strongly recommend skipping this option for your stay in Jerusalem. There are many better options that are also closer the the major tourist attraction. No benefits whatsoever. We can't understand how this hotel is still in business.

Located near government offices, very sandrd hotel

We had to wait half an hour to get our room. The staff was not very pleasant.
Breakfast was crowded and not at a very high level for Israeli bar breakfasts.
There was also a problem with our Pagoda voucher.

close to new tram service that is only 5 or 6 stops to the old city of jerusalem

hotel by jersualem standards is fairly good. by north american standards it is more like a 2 star hotel. rooms have fairly old furniture / tv and walls are badly in need of paint. however, i suspect this is fairly common in that part of the world.
the room included a breakfast which had both hot and cold food.
Hotel Feature Tip:
tram is very convenient - 1 stop to the bus station and 5 or 6 stops to the old city

I thought the service was great and if I need anything it would be paid attention to right away. Also, the hotel is right next to the central bus station and train terminal which is only one stop away from the bus station.

i don’t know why this is a four-star hotel, except that the breakfast is extravagent and exceptional. lots of food to choose from, served in a lovely large dining hall. the bed was very comfortable – fresh, clean sheets and very nice pillows.
but the room was definitely three-star standard. a bit worn, and the tv was old. no wi-fi (even though it was advertised). i paid $100 a night, but after 2 nights changed. the park seems to cater for bus tourists, who probably get the rooms at a discount because of block bookings. way overpriced for independent travellers. just a block from the tram station, which you need to take because it's far from the old walled city and jaffa st.

the room i got was pleasnt, a nice mineral water bottle, fresh seasonal fruits, a coffee and tea set, free internet and lcd monitor to plug your computer to or enjoy the cable tv channels. the breakfast is lavish - do not miss the sahleb thick milky drink or th shaksjuka.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The hotel is located together with more Hotels, a Walking Distance from Central Bus Station. You would need transportation to get to the old town. You may try, after consulting with hotel staff, offering the friendly Taxi driver to show you the town around for 1 hour, and finish off in your destination. You may get a friendly price (ask for an offer or try $40-$50).
