Kim E. Solo travelers Australia, September 28, 2012	Dont stay there Fantastic views of Jersusalem 5.3 At one time this was a great hotel but it has not been maintained for many years. I changed rooms three times in a two night stay. Toilet blocked twice, faucet handle fell off and air conditioning didn't work. Had to open the window. They turn off the air con in the hottest part of the day (go figure). Sign on window glass said "Lock window and put pole in place". Lock was missing and no pole! One of the most amazing aspects is that one has to lug suitcases up three (short) flights of steps just to get to reception. Buffet dinner was ordinary. Getting ice was a bit of a chore (maybe just my accent). Staff very good but operating under adversity Hotel Feature Tip: Don't stay there

Но Old City как на ладони, хорошие завтраки, пешком до знаковых мест 7 Когда мы приехали в отель Seven Arches Hotel нам сообщили, что свободных номеров нет и отправили в другой отель – Jerusalem Gold 4*. Нам предоставили бесплатный трансфер, но таксист буквально требовал чаевые. Отель оказался на оживленной улице в новой части Иерусалима рядом с автобусной станцией и остановками общественного транспорта. Мы воспользовались возможностью и прокатились на скоростном трамвае, который останавливается прямо под окнами отеля. Стоимость поездки – около 6 шекелей (примерно 55 руб.) на человека. На этом трамвае можно добраться до старого города, огромного торгового центра и просто прокатится по Иерусалиму. У отеля Иерусалим Голд очень удобное расположение. Внизу есть кафе и магазины, а с автобусной станции можно недорого прокатиться в любую точку Израиля. Номера скромные, но лучше, чем в Seven Arches. Завтрак хороший, но заканчивается в 9.00! На следующий день нас попросили освободить номера в 11.00 (путешествовали вчетвером – мы с мужем и родители, снимали два двухместных номера). 40 минут ждали в холле «бесплатное» такси. А когда приехали в 7 Arches, пришлось ждать заселения еще больше двух часов. Номера разочаровали. Мебель старая, грязная, облезлая. Кондиционеры старые. Комната родителей выходила во внутренний дворик. Там непрерывно ревел общий кондиционер. При этом в комнате была ужасная духота. Единственное достоинство отеля – прекрасный вид. Отель находится на вершине Масленичной горы, и вы можете любоваться панорамой Старого города. Все это находится в пешей доступности. Завтрак в гостинице достаточно обильный по израильским меркам, есть даже колбаска! Ведь отель арабский и кашрут не соблюдает. На Пасху покрасили яйца! Было очень приятно. А сербские паломники встали и спели православные гимны, мы к ним присоединились. Отель постоянно заполнен, но в основном его посещают группы, которые проводят здесь не более ночи. Его можно было бы назвать дырой, если бы не волшебное по красоте место, на котором он стоит.
