This hotel is just ok... For the price the room was fine, and in a good location in comparison to some of the high end hotels.
The rooms are all quite old and are in desperate need of a renovation, the walls and door block minimal noise so you can expect to hear people and TV's through the night.
Breakfast was ok, but very busy all morning.

Excellent Breakfast; location; relatively new and very clean bathroom; the handyman, was very helpful] good service from the front desk was very good to direct us and help us.
Regular room needs refurbishing with new furniture; beds too low off the floor; The suites are much better, but on a limited budget, we really needed to watch our expenses. Bigger soap bars would be helpful.
If it were not for the excellent breakfast and the pool, we might have stayed elsewhere. The location near the beach, the post office, banks and stores is a definite plus. We will definitely stay at the Metropolitan Hotel should we return to Tel Aviv.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The location of the Hotel Metropolitan in Tel Avis is its biggest asset. It is close to banks, post office, stores, beach, car rentals, restaurants, etc.

Excellent location,2 minute walk to Ben Yehuda Street for transport. Magnificent views of the Mediterranean if you get a room facing the sea.
Good service at reception, staff helpful.Room very clean.Very good breakfast.
Furniture getting a bit old.
The Metropolitan Hotel is good value for money for a 3 star hotel. Good location in proximity to the beach, restaurants and transport.Very nice pool and basic gymnasium. Good shopping in vicinity, particularly for souvenirs and Israeli arts & crafts. Lots of small inexpensive restaurants like felafel & shwarma places.Very good breakfast , great variety. however some items of food a mystery. should be labelled for foreign guests. I would stay there again & in fact I will. Review Oct. 2008
Shopping Tip : There are several Money Change places in Ben Yehuda street a 5 minute walk from Hotel. The rate is much better than in the hotel.Purchases in Ben Yehuda Street are generally negotiable.

Proximity to the beach, pricing, cleanliness, and friendliness of staff.
No alarm clock or clock whatsoever, no ironing board or iron, no parking.
The Metropolitan Hotel is a good choice to stay when in Tel Aviv. It is a three minute walk to the beach, and we booked it through Agoda.com getting a good price for it. The hotel staff is very helpful and friendly, also knowledgable. The room seemed fine and clean. I liked the little coffee station. I wasn't sure why there wasn't any clock in the room. I also wished the hotel offered some parking because we had a rental car and had to park it at a public, paid parking nearby.

- Excellent location in the heart of Tel Aviv and 1 min from the beach - especially warm welcome in French - excellent service - comfortable, ask preferably those in the highest floors in the 9th-12th. Some rooms have sea views, others on tel aviv
- Rich buffet for breakfast, but mostly salads, cheeses, fish unsuited to our habits French. I liked the fresh fruit and pastries.
Hotel perfectly located 5 minutes from downtown and the Caramel Market, 1 min from the wide sandy beach with children's playground, restaurant, chairs ..., 15 minutes walk from Jaffa, 5 min from the street the rental car (I recommend El Dan). Pleasant and personalized, in English or French excellent, attentive and efficient staff. A small criticism: only offers a great buffet in the evening when we might want to take a dish when you're tired and do not want to leave. But there are many restaurants around.
Restaurant Tip : Restaurants on the beach
