Clean rooms, Quiet neighborhood, convenient location.

Small rooms, No shower curtain (just a glass swing door that covers two thirds of the bath tub).

Overall it was a pleasant experience. We were greeted with Arabic coffee while we waited for check-in. Staff were courteous and helpful. The hotel feels a bit cramped (no grand lobby or wide corridors here) but it's not a deal breaker if you're not gonna spend your day at the hotel.

Hotel Feature Tip : You can access the internet through the TV system in the room at no extra charge. A wireless keyboard is provided for that purpose.

Very visible security Great comfy rooms Excellent gym / spa

In house catering is very expensive In room internet is overpriced

This is a great oasis in an average city, allowing you to escape at the end of the day. Its situated in a good neighbourhood, with basic shops, cafes and restaurants within a couple of minutes walk, and only a short taxi ride from most of the key areas in Amman. The hotel itself is luxurious, with very nice rooms, a great gym and spa. The staff are friendly and helpful. I would recommend eating in the restaurants outside of the hotel as they are a fraction of the cost though!

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : If you have a day you must go to Petra, its a long bus trip (Jet Bus leaves at 6:30 and needs booking the day before at a cost of JD12.75) (or Taxi for around JD120 return) with the journey taking about 3.5 hrs each way. A day trip is enough time to see it, with the bus option giving you 5hs to walk around the site.

Lots of entertainment and dining options, great health club, clean room decorated in cheerful blue and red colors

Smell of smoke in non-smoking room

The Kempinski is located in the city center (Shmeisani) which makes it a good place to stay if you are a traveler looking for easy access to cafes and shopping. The public spaces of the hotel feature a lot of polished granite and glass, which gives the hotel a sleek but cold atmosphere. The rooms themselves feel warm and comfortable, decorated in reds and blues, with carpeting and low beds. The service was good, and the price for a single (US $150 including taxes) was the best I found all week for a 4-star hotel in Amman. The rate beat the Marriott's by more than $100 (the other hotel in which I stayed and which was by no means a better hotel).

Travel tip : There is a very good place to get coffee and breakfast right around the corner from the hotel -- called Ata Ali.
