The Palace is definitely not a hotel for those looking for luxury, but as an inexpensive place to crash it worked just fine. The beds were foam mattresses with very thin pillows, and although we had a private bathroom it was nothing fancy. But the room was generally clean, quiet and suited our purposes since we were out most of the day. The staff is friendly and helpful, although some of the information one of the desk ladies gave us regarding Jordanian visas was incorrect. Also, be aware that the hotel is located slightly down a side alley off the main street, so it may not be for solo women travelers.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The Lonely Planet walking tour of Jordan is centered right around the hotel, and there is a famous hummous/foul restaurant right down the street.
