Border pass will be made by the resort (it is free of charge) and it will remain at the Dibba checkpoint. Please ensure you carry your Passports and UAE labour card along with you, upon entering Dibba Oman you will be asked at the checkpoint.
UAE or GCC citizens can visit on their Identity card or passport (border pass is not required).
Visitors visiting on UAE Tourist visa do not require border pass they can travel on UAE Tourist visa there is no Oman visa required; also there is No stamping of Entry and Exit on the passport at the checkpoint. Children and extra beds:- Guests over 6 years old are considered as adults.

Beautiful and relaxing

We stayed at Six Senses Zighy Bay for 3 nights. The drive there is great with an impressive view onto the resort when you are crossing the mountains. A 4WD car is definitely recommended if you want to drive yourself across the mountain, however you can also park your car at the bottom of the mountain and a hotel car will bring you across. A sports car might have difficulties reaching the bottom of the mountain though.
We had a beach villa which offers a lot of privacy, but also has a beautiful view of the ocean. The beach is beautiful, surrounded by the mountains and you can see many crabs walking on the beach from the water digging their little holes and building their "tents".
I did see someone cleaning the beach, however he did a poor job as plastic bags and engine oil bottles were still there afterwards, which besides that it distracts from the beauty can be harmful to the environment. More attention should definitely be paid to cleaning the beach.
I furthermore pointed out to the butler a few cotton buds lying around in the sand at the bottom of our villa, when we checked into the room. I also mentioned this a day later to the guy cleaning the beach, however when we left (after 3 nights) the cotton buds were still there. A small annoyance, but unexpected of a 5 star hotel.
The pool is great and the villa, although very simple in many ways, is super comfy. Amazing bed and the fact that you can choose from a large pillow menu is a nice touch. The bathroom is fine with a rain shower, however we never used it as we only used the outdoor shower! The shower gel/shampoo etc provided smells delicious (Note that you can chose the smell from a menu as well) In terms of cleanliness, the room was very clean.
The breakfast is great and room service is of high quality. The only thing we found disappointing was the restaurant Sense on the Edge.

Ideal location for complete serenity
Lots of space in the villa and the garden; environmentally friendly resort; big central swimming pool plus private swimming pool in the garden.

Gymnastics offered, but very limited, e.g. yoga twice per week; normal gymnastics at 7:00 hrs in the morning: not very customer friendly; no sailing; diving very limited (requires 45-minute trip per speedboat); cost per dive twice as high as usual; no entertainment in the evening; beautiful sandy beach but small tar pellets on the sand; good restaurant, excellent buffets, but slow à la carte service
