Nice hotel, good facilities and good service. The internet access was a problem, just gave up after wasting one hour of frequent dropping of line.
The location is not fantastic, no nearby amenities like supermarket, shops. So the evening ends up being in the hotel bar or room.

Location is great. The rooms are OK, the gym is excellent. Hotel seems to be a bit old, but still OK. Al Falaj is a good value for the money in Muscat, a city that is rather expensive and oriented towards high end tourism. Its location is excellent, close to the major highway that crosses Muscat from the airport to Mutrah and Muscat city so everything is easy to reach. The rooms are ok but the gym facilities are the best I have seen in 4 and 5 stars hotels in the Middle East.
