Big entrance, ceiling are short. But the bed and the amenities are an attempt to appeal to the western traveller. It works pretty well. Cable TV and an interesting bed head with internal light and teapot built into it.
Staff are reasonably helpful. The local taxi driver is great.
Internet is dodgy. Once u dial in the code thats it..ur time starts running and will run out whethjer you use it or not? Don't complain you wont receive a refund!

Booked on cost basis and was adequate for the price.
Room comfortable.
Restaurant was basic but food good and reasonably priced
Restaurant service was inefficient and room was full of smoke.
No facilities in hotel
Very complex layout that made it difficult to access areas.
Street parking.
Reception staff not overly helpful or informed.
We booked this facility based on price as we found Muscat very expensive compared to any country except perhaps Switzerland. Most, not all, of your staff were friendly and helpful. The room facilities were Ok for the price. The lack of on site facilities was disappointing but didn't worry us for this stay
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Long way out of Muscat but roads were adequate outside peak times. Budget facility but reasonable value for Muscat.

Clean, friendly people, good location, value for money
Average food, lack of internet
Stay in Golden Oasis Hotel and you'll get a good value for your money. Friendly personnel ready to meet your needs at any time, daily room service, comfortable furniture. If you don't look for fancy 5 stars hotels or swimming pools or beach bars, then this is the place you have to go. We went there with our 3 and 5 yrs old kids. Good experience.
