My Stay at the Cristal Salam was really good. I could not ask for anymore however I was left disappointed at the beginning of the trip when I was charged for checking in @ 7am. The hotel should offer an early check-in rate if there are rooms available.

very good, good location and service, it is a surprise that the hotel offered free wifi, because I cannot log on internet when we were in Dubai. However, there not so many dining choices in nearby area for tourists from east Asia. We overheard that there will be a new Korean restaurant, which mostly likely will improve the situation.

we had just completed 15 hours by air. We were greeted at the airport by Roussel. He made us welcome, took all our bags and dropped us off. On arrival, we felt like royalty, the staff are exceptional, well dressed and well mannered, took care of all our excursions, the tour operators were waiting at this lovely hotel. On the first night, we didnt know how to regulate the shower, and immediately someone was sent up to us to help, at 1.30am! Will highly recommend this hotel. Dont pass it up!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Cristal Salam Hotel. I would definitely recommend it to everyone I know. If I get the opportunity to go back to Abu Dhabi at any time in the future, I will definitely be booking with this hotel again. It is brand new (only 8 months old when I stayed there in September 2012). The staff are wonderful - nothing is too much trouble. The location is great. There's a supermarket just across the road and the Abu Dhabi Mall is only a 10 min walk away. I was very impressed with this hotel and I would love to go back there in the future sometime.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
A definite MUST SEE attraction is the Grand Mosque. It was stunning. The other place to visit is the Madinet Zayed Shopping and Gold Centre. This Mall is huge!! I have never seen so many gold shops in the one place in all my life!! I was amazed and spent many hours in this centre. There are beautiful arabic clothes, arabic fabrics (in the textile shops) and arabic and plain jewellery in these gold shops. I wish I had found this place first as I could have spent many days in this Mall!!

We stayed here as a stopover on our return from Thailand. They were very helpful with recommendations for things to do and the organisation of transportation. Only problem is you cannot swim in the pool after 5pm as the top becomes a bar to the public. Frustrating when its so hot. Overall a good option for a short stay.
