It's a Smoker's hub. Non-smokers must not come.

It was the first time i booked this hotel and i should say that it will be the last time as well. I asked for a high floor, non smoking room and they gave me room-708. It was November 1st on a weekend and everyone was on a holloween party spirit, so I can understand the loud noise coming from the bar (I assume it was at the above floor). Although at some point I was awaken in the middle of the night by the screaming guests singing their heart out.
What I totally didnt like about Emirates Plaza hotel was the bad air handling unit of the hotel. It was 2AM when I was awaken by drunk passers by at the corridor and I immediately notice my whole room was smelling like a pub. I dont know where the cigarette smoke smell from but it was very strong I couldn't go back to sleep. I tried opening the toilet door wide and turn on the exhaust fan but the smell didn't fade. It was a nightmare for a non-smoker like me.
I will never go back to this hotel. Ever!

I found some of the staff to be unfriendly.
Hotel is located in a very traffic congested area with little parking space. As a result taxis do not come there often. One has to walk to the main road in order to get a taxi

I was very unimpressed. The hotel looks a bit run down. There are 4 night clubs operating very late. So it's very noisy. It is an older hotel. For exemple the a/c control is outside of the room. Upon my arrival, I was surprised to have to carry my own bags. There was no offer or any staff around to carry my bags from the front of the hotel to the lobby and even from the lobby to my room. It is posted that a buffet breakfast is served from 6am to 11am. I went there at 9.30am to find out that all they left was some tomatoes and cold omelettes. I will never go back to that hotel. It was not worth the money at all.
Travel tip:
Don't stay at the Emirates Plaza Hotel!
