Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

The set up, location, decor and design, furniture are bset of the best. The food was very good, the tidiness and cleanliness was exceptional
The hotel is understaffed in the sense that there are not enough people to assist and help the guests in a swift and timely manner. The attitude of the staff is not welcoming either. They are not agressive but also not embrassing and warmly receiving the guest.
One of the drawbacks were that we did not get a bellboy to take in our bags for 20 minutes. We had to wait in the Dubai sun for that time and the receptionist was very reluctant to help, she just said that he was having his dinner. One morning we and some dozen other families had to wait for more than 20 minutes outside the breakfast lounge to get a seat inside. The restaurant was ovber crowded and the guy in charge didn't have a clue on how to resolve the problem. I had to go to the mannager and tell him to open the partition between that lounge and the adjacent one to have more space and get in more staff. He kindly obliged and in no time he and othermanagers were all in the breakfast area serving people. I have explained that they need more staff and better attention should be given to guests. Checking out should be enhanced.
Shopping Tip : It's a walking distance from the most popular shopping centre in Dubai.

The room looked very nice and the bed was comfortable. The air conditioning worked well which is very important in this part of the world.
I had arranged to be picked up at the airport; but no one was waiting for me. I finally found an airport employee who called the hotel to let them know that I needed to be picked up. It was very hot so waiting outside to be picked up is not an attractive option. The hotel room itself was nice; but one of the lamps that was wired into the wall did not work. The room was dark. I found there was no hot water in the morning for a shower.
City Seasons Hotel Dubai is conveniently close to the airport. From what I could see it is located in a business district and there is not much within walking distance. I relied on the hotel bar for cold soft drinks while I was there. The room I was given was nice, comfortable bed; but not everything worked properly. One lamp did not work and there was no hot water for showering in the morning. The buffet breakfast put out by the hotel was excellent!
Hotel Feature Tip : The hotel was free wireless in the lobby. If you are on the first floor you may also have access to the wireless in your room. This really helps as doing a Skype call in a public lobby is not an attractive option.

room - bed, bathroom, view, tv, cleanliness, facilities, quality
hotel - entrance, glass lifts, interior space, reception, gym and pool
location - near major mall
booked through a site that didn't include taxes, by the end of the stay I didn't care as the hotel more than exceeded what we paid.
I booked through Agoda, the site didn't inform me (or at clearly) that i would incur an additional 20%. I was also charged on my Visa debit immediately rather than on departure.
These details do not bother me now as our experience was so good. We emailed to inform the staff our flight landed early in the morning. I asked if we were able to perhaps leave our bags or possibly even check in early. I was told there would be no guarantees but they would try to help. We arrived at 7:30am and were met with smiley faces and great service. No rooms were available but we were able to leave our bags. We were then told a room would be ready for us close to 09:00am. By 09:12am, we were in our room on the top floor waiting to have our bags brought to us.
We walked to the mall, eat in the restaurants near by, had a full day of entertainment, came back to the hotel, enjoyed the gym and pool. We then left again for the evening, by foot. returned fairly late, again greeted by smiles.
We slept in a huge XXXXXL bed, we even enjoyed a lie in as we checked out again at 11:00 the next morning and the staff, at no charge, ordered a cheap taxi to the airport for us.
We couldn't have been treated any better.
Shopping Tip : the Diera City Centre Mall is only 3-5 minutes walk away. Dubai is best seen by car though. Next time we stay, we'll be looking at hiring a car or motorbike.
