Not a very good Hotel for A Millenium Hotel

It was not the stay i desired.I was totally taken aback. What i expected & what was offered were totally different.
hotel needs refurbishment for the standards of a Millenium Hotel. Really unexpected jolt.

Fantastic location and friendly staff

We only stayed one night but have been welcomed as we would have been regular customers. The room was perfectly adequate with all the little extra facilities ( tea, coffee, bisquits) present. The great advantage of this hotel is its location, 5 minutes to walk from the Metro station Deira City, which also connects you to the airport as well as the important spots in the city. In walking distance you can also enjoy shopping in the Deira city center.
The only fact one should be aware of is that the hotel strictly follows islamic law, which does not allow you to use the swimming pool together with the other gender

“Great Location poor hotel facilities and policies

Arrived at 05.00am bearing in mind did email earlier informing hotel of date and time of arrival and were told that as it was early morning they had no rooms for us! Upon further discussion it was determined that they did have rooms vacant however they catch was they wouldn't check us in till we paid an extra dhs500!!
Now it was explained that check in was at 09.00am so effectively we were being told pay dhs500 for 4hrs or we could sit in the waiting area for 4hrs!
Considering we had been travelling for more than 7 hrs we opted to pay but not after haggling the price down to dhs200. Once in the room the plug in the wash basin did not work and once the shower went on water from the diebo began spurting out on to the bathroom floor quickly forming a large puddle.
Got on the phone called reception to complain and to their credit a maintenance man was in our room within a few minutes but stayed way too long fixing the problem and we just wanted a shower and sleep so called reception again and were quickly moved to another room. (fancy that two spare rooms now)
Location wise Deira City Center Metro less than 5 minute walk away along with the Deira City Center Mall.
As for the room it was satisfactory in that it had a fair amount of space though I have stayed at hotels in Dubai with more space. Bathroom facilities were adequate as was the tv channels. Gym was small but adequate didn't use the pool but it looked quite nice though I read that if you had a female companion wouldn't have been able to enjoy it together. Staff for the most part were polite and helpful. However we were led to belive there was free internet access there was not! At dhs30 for a days use it was not cheap!
Overall it was satisfactory though at the price there are many far better options in Dubai and I won't be going back.

Sort of like a budget hotel, hotel was obviously old and did not get a late check out as requested before.. poor slow elevator, rooms were tacky and dodgy jacuzzi

the hotel has been one popular four star hotel. it is located just next to the the metro station, near the diera city centre.the stay was full of basic facilities. of course they have hot/cold water, bathtub, tv, free cable internet; however, no teethbrush. overall the room condition is great and you can go everywhere in dubai easily and safely.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
YOu can ask the hotel staff for booking all the activities such as Dune safari, city tour, Abu dabi tour, Down cruise and so on. The bus can take you from the hotel and then send you back in front of the hotel. So, it is very convenient and perfect for travelling here. Enjoy and save money here.

Apartment size was excellent and clean. But bathrooms had not been updated and the leather lounge was ripped. Copthorne was listed as self-contained with kitchen. Microwave and fridge yes but nothing else was provided. Housekeeping was called 3 times to get cutlery and plates. TV in the living room did not work but was fixed. Close to metro and shopping center Copthorne is perfect size and location for family. I would choose to stay here again.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The metro system in Dubai is very easy to use and cheap so select a property withing walking distance.
